Your tour begins with pickup from your central Macau hotel or Macau harbour in time for a 10am departure. Traveling aboard a comfortable air-conditioned coach, set out to explore the highlights of the city.
Start by visiting the magnificent Temple of A-Ma, one of China’s most impressive Taoist temples, built in 1488. Next, visit the Na Tcha Temple and admire the neighboring ruins of St Paul’s, a 17th-century Jesuit church. Continue to the 17th-century Mount Fortress, another UNESCO-listed landmark, then learn more about Macau’s colonial history and Portuguese heritage as you stroll around the last remaining section of the Old City Walls, which date back to 1569.
After tucking into a delicious buffet lunch at the Rio Hotel, head to the city’s most memorable modern landmark, the Macau Tower, where you can browse the souvenir shops or stop for a coffee (own expense) on the ground floor. You can also choose to visit the top of the tower (own expense) and enjoy incredible views over the city below.
Of course, a tour of Macau wouldn’t be complete without a visit to one of the city’s famous casinos, so the final stop of the day is at the Sands Casino. While you’re there, perhaps purchase a drink from the bar, admire the lavish interiors, or try your luck at one of the casino games.
Your tour ends with drop-off at your hotel around 4pm.
Please note: the Sands Casino is only accessible to tour participants over 21 and the dress code is smart, with no shorts or flip-flops allowed.
