truly one unforgettable and great lifetime experience, especially the camel riding at the sahara desert! be prepared for the looooooong road trips from one city to another on average 10 hrs/day, and waking up super early in the morning to set off by dawn each day.
the trip started off a little confusing, as we had to leave by 5:30am in the morning instead of the standard 7am as stated on viators webite. more confusions arose when the guide explained the 3D itinerary to us, which were inconsistent with the information on the website!!!
1/ the tour ENDS AT CHEFCHAOUEN, not back in Marrakech! in the viator website, its stated Drop off at your hotel at the end of the tour, which obviously needs to be corrected by specifying in CHEFCHAOUEN because all the tours Ive taken from viator normally returns back to the original pick-up point.
2/ there was a mix-up between the plan for D1 and D2 in fact the camel riding and berber dinner at the deserts camp site was on D1 instead
3/ there was no lunch with Nomad people in desert on D2. lunch stops were at the restaurants along the road trip which were pretty decent

all those miscom aside, wed like to express our heartfelt thanks to Rashid, our fantastic driver and guide who definitely made our trip more enjoyable! and of course to Nourddine, the boss of the tour company Trek Morocco Desert who willingly helped with the special arrangement to ensure we return to Marrakech by the end of the trip quoting no worries, be happy we want to make sure you experience Morocco with a smile!. nevertheless as discussed, its absolutely necessary for viator to update the itinerary accurately on the website to avoid another one of our case!

the berber desert nomads welcomed us warmly, and theyre extremely friendly and passionate people! the camp site was pleasantly more sophisticated than we expected nice comfy warm beds, crucial charging points for the mobile phones and a private toilet with bathing facilities tho we had to skip shower due water scarcity. however no worries, as we were given the chance to freshen up at the tours office building in the next morning where breakfast was also served, after returning with another camel ride from the camp site.

wed have actually skipped Fez city if we could we only spent less than 2 hours in town with a guided tour, mainly bringing us to a moorish mosaic factory and through the bustling medina old town to a few recommended shops selling argon oil and leather goods. the riad arranged for us to stay overnight is pretty nice, serving lovely berber dinner on the terrace and breakfast in the wee hours before we set off early again to the next destination.

as a result of having to rush back to Marrakech on the last day which would take about 9 hrs of drive, very unfortunately we couldnt spend more time at chefchaouen! we had only 1 hour to take quick snap shots of the beautiful town of blue pearl, after all the endless hours to reach that ultimate landmark. Id surely hope to return again to this town in the future for a more relaxing stay to explore more
