Start with 7:30 am pickup at your hotel in Marrakech, and begin the 2-hour, 40-minute drive to Casablanca in a comfortable, air-conditioned minivan. Upon arrival in Casablanca—whose name comes from the Portuguese for “white house”—stretch your legs with a walk along the breezy corniche. Continue to the Hassan II Mosque that’s Casablanca’s most iconic landmark, featuring the world’s tallest minaret and sweeping views across the Atlantic coast.
Visit the Royal Palace, the Casablanca home of Morocco’s King and Queen, then explore the colorful markets and historic architecture of the Casablanca Old Town before departing for Rabat, a 1-hour drive up the coast.
Stop for lunch in a local restaurant in Rabat, then walk through Kasbah des Oudaias, fortifications built in the 17th-century to protect the city from intruders. Rabat’s most recognizable site, though, is the Hassan Tower: watch for the storks that nest in its unfinished minaret as you tour the enormous mosque. Make the final stop of the day at the Mausoleum of Mohammed V, an elaborate building that houses the royal tombs.
In the late afternoon, begin the the 3-hour, 40-minute return trip to Marrakech, where this tour concludes with drop-off at your hotel.
