Haleakala Unguided

Bring a long sleeve shirt as it can be a little breezy as you come down from the top of the mountain

This was our family’s favorite activity all week! It worked out great for our teens to be able to go fast and mom to go a bit slower.

Matt was great, had Grandmas homemade recipe muffins for us on our drive up the mountain, his bikes are by far better than the other companies we seen and the helmets were bike helmets and not full face helmets as other companies were wearing, the bike ride was amazing, we did unguided tour and went at our own pace, Matt met us every few miles to take pictures and check on us, Only a couple areas to pedal, and one big hill (we walked our bikes up that) the rest is all downhill and exhilarating, would highly recommend Maui Bombers!

Decided to book this rather last minute and am so glad I did. My almost 66 year old dad did it with me and he had a blast cruising down the mountain. Matt was very friendly, well prepared and accommodating. It was such fun way to see some of the different parts of the island. It was super windy where we started, but the windbreakers did their job. I was down to a tank top by the time we reached the bottom as the wind died down and the temps raised. I would definitely recommend layering so you can shed layers as needed at the points where Matt meets you to make sure everything is going well. Snacks and drinks were great. The meeting point was easy to find and Matt was there waiting for us before 8. Highly reccomend!
