Excellent tour for the art and history of Mexico starting 1900

This was a great tour in English. When we met they split us into two groups ...Spanish and my group English. Our guide Miguel was great and the tour is chronological to the development of the Mexican Muralists starting in 1920. This was my favorite tour in CDMX and kindled my love affair with Diego Rivera and Orozco.

Eye-opener tour of terrific art

I was lucky enough to be solo with a guide on this walking visit to murals scattered around government buildings in downtown Mexico City, reflecting a fascinating period of local history when artists like Diego Rivera were encouraged to produce public art. Most likely I would never have been able to find these on my own and very much appreciated the information and insights provided by my young guide Natasha. If I'd had more time in the city, I would have taken other walking tours with this company. Thank you!

Vlad was an excellent guide...

Vlad was an excellent guide, friendly, knowledgeable and a great conversationalist. I received a good primer and learned more than I expected about Mexico's complicated history and the controversial but respected artists who wanted to ensure the history was passed on through artistic expression. The tour is concentrated in the Centro Historico and takes you through government buildings which would be difficult to enter and tour on your own. I liked the small intimate group. Be prepared to be on your feet and bring water, wear a hat and sunscreen. Post-tour, Vlad was also kind to give me tips re: Centro Historico to exchange money and get a tasty, cheap lunch - Fonda S.R. was excellent!
