Mexico City Mural Art Small-Group Walking Tour

The tour was outstanding! Anna was an excellent tour guide. I had made a mistake with my booking date and she easily and cheerfully accommodated me. I highly recommend this tour and tour guide!

Anna our guide was very knowledgeable and friendly. She patiently explored the imagery and narrative of each exquisite mural in such detail that really enhanced the viewer’s experience.

It was just me on the tour, but it was a great experience. My tour guide was very personable and knew so much about the art in each of the place we stopped by. The Palacio Nacional is obviously the most famous stop, but you also see murals in several other spots that a regular tourist would miss. Plus the explanation of the history and thought behind each mural and muralist is fascinating.

Four of my girlfriends from Madison, WI took the mural tour with Anna (to celebrate my 50th). It lasted over four hours and AMAZING in every way. Anna's English was terrific, her knowledge of Mexican history and the murals was thorough and she was extremely personable. I can't think of any way this tour could have been improved. We were lucky enough to have a private tour since the others canceled. She was patient, answered all of our questions, was entertaining, knew these murals backwards and forwards, and we were all completely impressed! I cannot recommend this tour highly enough--and especially Anna. If you are an art history or history buff, this is the tour for you. I am sure we wouldn't have sought out these places on our own, they seemed a bit difficult to find. The stylistic variety of the murals and the history of the mural movement in Mexico was fascinating. We can't thank you enough for making our Friday afternoon TERRIFIC! Oh--and she recommended a restaurant that can't be missed in the summer, Balcon, which was very close to our tour. We had a 14 course vegetarian tasting menu and ended up in the kitchen for some of our desserts. An absolutely fabulous day. Couldn't be beat!!

My guide, Eli, was excellent! She was incredibly knowledgeable and very engaging. She communicated with me before the tour to confirm our meeting place and time. I was the only one on the tour, which was like having my very own personal guide. The places visited in the tour are not too be missed. We visited some of the most impressive and important murals and places in the city. I highly recommend this tour!

Mexico City is a very cosmopolitan and large city and the mural art, primarily of Diego Rivera which is covered in this tour is particularly special. Having a guide to explain the detail and intention of his work and history of the country it covers is very valuable for historical, political and artistic value. Confusion as to the time and place of meeting for the tour detracted from the initial enjoyment of what overall was a fascinating and well informed experience with an excellent guide of Adriana.

Of all the 'learn the history of the country' tours I've done, this one was the best by far. The guides knew there stuff, answered questions, and made the stories real.
