Overview

Get a close-up view of Leonardo da Vinci's iconic masterpiece, 'The Last Supper' with this exciting guided tour. In addition to your skip-the-line-admission the 'The Last Supper,' see the 'Atlantic Codex,' a 12-volume bound set of drawings and writings by Da Vince in the late fifteen and early sixteenth century. Also spend time exploring the UNESCO-listed church, Santa Maria delle Grazie. This 3-hour tour is a great way to learn about one of the world's greatest artists.
  • 3-hour Milan walking tour including visit to Leonardo da Vinci’s The Last Supper with a local guide
  • See the Atlantic Codex, the largest collection of da Vinci drawings in the world
  • See the UNESCO-listed Church of Santa Maria delle Grazie from outside and learn about its history and design
  • Enjoy skip-the-line entrance to Leonardo da Vinci's masterpiece The Last Supper
After meeting your guide at the Ambrosian Library in the center of Milan, put on your headset so that you can hear about the history of the places you visit. Expect to be wowed by the guide's historical anecdotes about the amazing works of Leonardo da Vinci. Then go in to see the Atlantic Codex, the largest collection of Da Vinci drawings on the planet. Let your guide lead you through the exhibit and learn about how this 12-volume set of late-15th/early-16th-century drawings and writings were created in mirror images.
Linger for a while at the Atlantic Codex and then walk through Milan with your guide and group, taking in the elaborate buildings and the charming streets. Once at the Church of Santa Maria delle Grazie, start a guided tour. The UNESCO World Heritage-listed church and Dominican convent was built in the late 15th century. After seeing much of the church, head into the erstwhile dining hall of the convent where Da Vinci's masterpiece, The Last Supper, is. Thanks to your skip-the-line ticket, breeze right in.
Enjoy the iconic painting and be sure to view it from a distance. Seeing it in the context of the fact that it's in a dining hall adds another level of intrigue and appreciation to the work. After your 15 minutes are up (the time allotted to each visitor), exit through the gift shop where the tour concludes.
Please note: reservations to see The Last Supper are limited and sell out quickly, sometimes months in advance. Choose this tour to be guaranteed advance booking and entrance tickets.

The descriptios of the pieces we saw were really vague and really repetitive. She would change the idea of what she was saying halfway through the phrase which maked it hard to follow.

Our guide, Cesare, was very good, and his humour gave the tour an extra dimension. It was very useful to have the headsets, so we could clearly hear everything.
It would have been useful to know how far the walk was to be, and also that we had to find our own way back to the centre, when the tour had finished. However, Cesare gave us information about the trams and the Metro, which was helpful.
All in all, a great tour. 'The Last Supper' was wonderful!

Being able to see Leonardo da Vinci's Last Supper is unforgettable! Our guide was great. She took us through Milan pointing out so many great locations. She spent the perfect amount of time at each location to insure we arrived at the church, Santa Maria delle Grazie, in time to make our allotted time slot for The Last Supper. Bring your camera!! You can take photos. Just make sure you take time to actually enjoy looking at The Last Supper. 15-20 minutes goes by so fast!

There is a lot of walking, so, make sure you wear comfortable shoes. Also, dress appropriately to enter the church shoulders and knees covered. A couple of women didn't. Luckily our guide met us early enough they were able to run into a store and buy something to cover themselves.

The tour guide was wonderful and she explained and told us so much information about the last supper. I would highly recommend this tour. We did the 4pm tour which was great because it was a bit cooler and we were the last ones in to see it for the evening.

The tour was hours long, arduous given the heat, but exhilarating. Serena is an excellent Docent; not just lecturing, but asking questions, testing our knowledge (and misinformation) and giving wonderful insights into the art and the politics of Da Vinci's Milan. I'd recommend her any day.

The best part of my Milan trip is seeing the Last Supper painting and learning a lot of information from our tour guide. You can go on your own to the Last Supper but you'll miss out on the information shared by the tour guide.

This was a must see for us and it was a great experience! The tour guide helped us to gain insight about Leonardo da Vinci and his students, which culminated into an awe inspiring view of the Last Supper painting itself.
