Pushed for time in Italy? Then use a day in Milan to visit Venice on this 14-hour trip. Travel by coach to the ‘Floating City,’ and admire its skyline on a boat ride across Venice Lagoon. Take a walking tour around must-sees including the Rialto Bridge and St. Mark’s Square, and enjoy the afternoon to sightsee, stroll, and shop independently before a return boat trip and coach ride back to Milan. Hotel pickup included.
  • Full-day trip to Venice from Milan by coach
  • Admire Venice from the water on a return boat trip across Venice Lagoon
  • 2-hour walking tour of Venice’s highlights, including the Rialto Bridge and St. Mark’s Square
  • Learn about Venice’s history and architecture from a guide
  • Enjoy free time to shop, stroll, and have lunch (own expense) independently
  • Round-trip coach transport with hotel pickup included
After early morning hotel pickup in Milan, settle inside your comfortable, climate-controlled coach and journey east to Venice, rightly considered one of the world’s most beautiful cities.
Along the way, hear about the history of this celebrated ‘Floating City.’ Famous for being built on a patchwork of 118 islands linked by more than 350 bridges, Venice was one of Europe’s greatest maritime powers from the early 14th to the 17th century, with a domain spanning the entire Mediterranean.
Upon arrival, enjoy a boat trip across Venice Lagoon, admiring the ethereal-looking cityscape of domes, towers, and spires as you approach from the water.
Then, step ashore for a 2-hour walking tour of the main attractions. Wander along the Riva degli Schiavoni, the main waterside promenade lined with historical buildings, statues, and palazzos; and pause to admire the splendid Rialto Bridge arched across the Grand Canal.
Next, stroll through St Mark’s Square, the piazza Napoleon is said to have dubbed the ‘drawing room of Europe.’ Gaze at the richly decorated façade of St. Mark’s Basilica and stop for photos by the Doge’s Palace, the former seat of Venice’s elected doges.
After time for a coffee (own expense) at Italy’s oldest café, enjoy the rest of the afternoon to explore independently. Perhaps delve into the tangled canals, alleyways, and piazzas, and relax over lunch (own expense) at any of the enticing restaurants or eating spots.
Peruse the shops for souvenirs, and if you wish, take a romantic gondola ride (additional cost) or visit a glass showroom to see a demonstration of traditional Venetian glass blowing.
When it’s time, sail back across the lagoon, and rejoin your coach for your journey back to Milan, where your tour ends with a central drop-off.

It was a day trip from Milan. The bus was very good and the tour kept to time while allowing us to have a good experience of Venice. The Gondola ride that was organised (at extra cost) was also reasonable and efficient

This was a great tour for people with limited time. Our guide did a great explaination of the highlights. I opted out of the gondola ride which I would recommend for more free time to explore on your own.

Guide took money for gondola ride. Told us to meet at de Marco Plaza in front of red sign. Evidently she meant corridor behind sign. Missed ride.

The tour guide we had on this day didnt care much about the group.i feel there were too many people to manage in this tour.1 guide for about 35 people.there were 2 people who were slow, they had to struggle to keep pace with the tour guide.
This trip mentions hotel pick up.we had sent our confirmation a month ago but no one came to pick us.
The tour guide bought us gongola tickets quite far away from the centre of Venice well knowing that we have a person who wont be able to walk that far.She could have informed us that there was another gondola ride just where the ferry docking port was but if she did that perhaps she wouldnt have received her commision from those gondoliers.we ended up paying for 2 gondola trips.
Uncaring tour guide with attitude,no hotel pick up,cunningly sold us gondola ticket for far off knowingly we wouldnt be able to do it and too many people in the tour.
HIGHLY WOULD NOT RECOMMEND irrespective of other reviews here.

This was a great trip, long day but if you want to see Venice, I recommend this. Venice can easily be done in a day, I didn't feel like I needed more time there.

It is amazing to see Venice in person. No cars, just walking. Have to do a Gondola ride, costs about 20 Euros per person extra but well worth the experience. Guide was great. Lunch is on your own, recommend finding a place not in a busy alley, explore.

Great trip which we highly recommend! Guide in Venice was one of the best!. Set your phone to sound recording because you won't want to forget all the interesting History and special things she will tell you about Venice. There was time for a Gondola ride and time to look through stores. All parts of this trip were coordinated well. Like other day trips my wife and I took, we would like to see a return to hotel option. because we got lost late at night in a very confusing city!

Long day. Picked up on time, only to wait nearly 1/2 hour. The ride was OK, a bit long with some traffic. Opted for the Gondola ride. DON'T! Paid an extra 20 each for an indifferent Gondolier who never said hello, was on the cell phone the entire time. No interaction and yelled at other Gondoliers. Told guide, who said she'd talk to the manager. No refund was offered. Venice was busy, time was scarce. Felt rushed. Never again. The bus ride was nearly 5 hours, due to traffic. Nearly 16 hours. God by yourself by train, if possible.
