Stopped in Monterey as part of a Cruise of the Pacific Coast. The Aquarium was highly recommended by friends and family. It was very interesting and we enjoyed the visit. It was a bit confusing finding your way around, but we think we covered it all. All the employees we encountered were very pleasant and informative.
My wife and I took our 22 month old son and we had a good time, as did he. He's still a little young yet to get into all that was going on, but he really loves sharks and seemed really amazed by all of the life.
Monterey Bay Aquarium visit with 2 and 4 year old grandkids
, Aug 2019
It is a wonderous place, appealing to all ages. Awe-inspiring for the diversity and beauty of sea life. Stunning exhibits. My favorite was the jellyfish. My grandkids LOVED the hands on area where they could touch sea life (bat rays and crabs) and see the penguins (Happy Feet) and sea turtles. The day after our visit the 4-year-old asked if we could go back later this week!
