Start with 8am pickup at your hotel in Nha Trang, then travel to a countryside resort that’s 9 miles (14 km) west of the city. Upon arrival at the resort, you’ll be fitted with a bicycle for a leisurely ride through the surrounding area.
Pedal to a local household to learn about rice alcohol production, pig farming, and rice paper, then keep riding to Dien Binh village, a community known for its orchards of star apple trees. Visit a market with your guide to pick up ingredients for the cooking class—this is the perfect way to learn the basics of Vietnamese cooking and flavors.
Return to the resort for a cooking class with a local chef; the menu changes with the season, but includes local specialties such as rice pancakes, spring rolls, and banana flower salad. When the meal is ready, sit down to enjoy what you’ve cooked with your fellow students.
After lunch, you’ll have some free time to enjoy the shady garden, swim in the onsite pool, or try fishing at the nearby rice field pond. If desired, spa treatments and herbal baths are available (additional cost to be paid onsite). This 6-hour tour concludes with return transfer to your hotel in Nha Trang.
