Mount Roraima Trekking Expedition - 09 or 11 days - Roraima - Brazil - Venezuela

This tour has two parts that are quite different, the first was superb! Angra dos Reis is spectacular with its great beaches, only one to stay on the ground, but two very nice, one with lots of fish you to swim along, also a nice boat with space for everyone, snacks, beverages, a musical group and the perfect guide, Teté, she just make it perfect coming with us for the whole trip. The second part, Buzios, was not good enough, to start a little van, uncomfortable, a nice guide but just to take us to the boat and then pick us up, the boat was crowded, people everywhere, and the stops where not as good as the ones at Angra, it was not really worth it...

Our guide was Eduardo. He « practiced «  his English with us , as he said. He spoke English good enough for us to understand everything he tried to communicate. His pace was good, and we managed to keep up with him! We’re an older couple... we lucked out as we were the only hikers that day on that tour . It was definitely a challenge but loved it. He does a loop hike instead of an out and back which makes it more interesting. Unfortunately we didn’t make it to the top as clouds and rain started as we got to the cave. Still had a few great view points on the way. Saw 2 different species of monkeys which was very nice. We got some marmoset monkeys an arm length away at some point! Lovely day, amazing guide. Well worth it.

The guide was very kind. The group was very small, only me and one other person and the waterfalls were beautiful.

Diogo was very informative about the forest trail, a 3 hour trek with some stunning scenery and pointed out the different plant, bird a d wildlife in tijuca forest. I'd highly recommend the waterfall for a cool shower, diogo is very knowledgable and passionate about nature and this showed on a 5 star tour

I was looking forward to this tour to learn more about the Favela and what is all about. Unfortunately our tour guide English was limited, and therefore could not explain to us the concept of the favela, the culture, how it is managed and a whole bunch of information which we did not get. The tour needs a bit more structure. A knowledgeable guide would make a whole lot of difference.

It was a misty and rainy day but the guide made me feel safe and at ease. I was a bit scared for the repelling part as I have never done it before, but the guide was with me every step of the way and made me feel at ease. I must commend Guilherme for being so knowledgeable about nature and dedicated to his work. He made the experience worth while. Keep up the good work

Awesome Hiking trip with a very good guide. We were fortunate to get a clear view from the top (clear of clouds). The guide was excellent and we felt safe during the whole hike including the section where we used rope gear to climb and descend.

This was supposed to be a English speaking tour. Our tour guide did not speak English. When we asked if he can translate what he said in Portuguese to English he said no. Once in awhile he would pull up Google translate. From our understanding of this tour, I thought we were taking a boat to Arraial do Cabo but we drove over two hours in a bus. The boat tour was cancel due to strong current which is fine since we cant predict mother nature. The tour guide brought us to two different beaches and the rest of the time he basically said to go find something to do. Very disappointed. He knew boat tour was cancel before we started our journey. He should have given us the option if we wanted to continue or stay back. We wasted a precious day

Got up 5am for pick up After driving around for a couple of hours picking up other people bus broke down and we returned. I hope I will get a refund.

Our guide Lucas was very nice and knowable about the place, they provided a necessary equipment to make the hiking part safe and the view up there was really worth it. 100%recommend nattrip and Lucas as a guide.

I travel and tour more than any other person, and Thalles, the tour guide, provided the absolute most comfortable and enjoyable experience! I was running very late and he politely and graciously waited for me( Get there on time though!) When I arrived, he described the itinerary for the day and always stopped to make sure I stayed hydrated and fed all along the way. Before the hike, Thalles placed some of my personal belongings in his bag to free up my hands. That was so sweet. During the hike, he stopped to ensure that I was going at my own pace and was not overwhelmed. He always held my hand when going down or up a treacherous trail and that made me feel safe and at a ease. I could go on and on but he is honestly the most friendliest and kindest tour guide ever. Many are authoritative, rude, condescending and strict. I felt like I was going on a hike and educational tour with someone I already know. The tour guide also speaks very good English...the best I’ve witnessed in Brazil. He even understands American slangs lol! Lastly, the hike is fun, challenging, and reasonable in price. Don’t forget to bring water ( as described in the listing ) and take cool pictures! But if you’re frail, handicapped or injured, this ain’t for you. It’s pretty strenuous so it provides a good workout. Now, go ahead and make a booking!!

I took the transport option which was excellent, comfortable, and exceptionally punctual. My tour guide Renan was kind, patient, and gregarious, and the hike itself was wonderful! Stunning views and beautiful pathways through a gorgeous urban jungle. Renan was kind enough to wait in the line with me for a picture, and was willing to tailor the hike to my needs, whether that included a side-route to one of the beaches below or a stop for an experience of coco-water. The view at the top is absolutely stunning and unique. Excellent experience!!

We were staying at a hotel in Copacabana, and they had us meet at another hotel (15min walk away). The tour guide Eli just about ignored me when he called out my name and I had to tell him 3 times it was me. There were a good mix of people on the excursion, and Eli would speak in both Portuguese or English. I noticed that the English parts were much shorter than the Portuguese narration. But also, there was very little of this... not like some of the excursions I've taken elsewhere where there is more history and facts shared during the drive. I spent the bulk of the 3 hour drive sleeping since there wasn't anything being shared.The entire boat ride there's no guided tour, either. It was mostly musicians and then eating "appetizers" which were huge portions (they were good though) and drinking. We were there at the end of October, and so it already felt a bit chilly where we were, and if you wanted to get down at either of the two swimming stops, you had to jump into the water because there were no docks for those stops. We weren't able to swim at the first island/beach because the water was really choppy and the boat couldn't get close. So they gave us a full hour at the 2nd stop. It was nicer than Copacabana for the fact that the waters felt a bit more tame (in comparison) and that it felt more private, but honestly nothing super special about it (I lived in Hawaii for a while, so I might have a very particular preference when it comes to beaches). The third stop was where we ate. The food was really good (I love the fish and black beans), and it was cute enough to take pictures until we board back onto the boat.The last stop was this church on an island. It was gorgeous, but really nothing to see, we couldn't really go inside or anything. I don't even really know the story of the church. Would've been nice to get some kind of background/guided information about what I was seeing.The ride back was the same, quiet ride back to town. This tour is probably better if you really intend on swimming—and if so, maybe do so during the warmer Rio months when hopefully the water is more calm as well. It was great to get outside of the city (I did a city tour as well, and you pretty much see it all in a day), so all in all, I'm still happy I went and was able to see the beautiful sights outside of the city, but I think I had high expectations for this and felt like it was a bit of a bust.

Our guide, Didi was very knowledgable about the region, park and mountain. The trek to the summit was challenging but a great workout. The views from the summit are absolutely breathtaking. I only wish we spent more time up there. I would definitely do this again!
