Risky Market And Damnern Saduak Floating Market Half Day Tour | Sep 2019
It was interesting to see the markets alongside the railroad tracks and a cool experience. It was mostly local foods being sold and the vendors have to move there stuff for the train to pass by. Unfortunately, we were only there for about 20 minutes to see the train pass through the market. Then we went to the floating market which was very touristy. It was congested with tourists on small boats and vendors also on boats trying to sell souvenirs. If you have time to kill, it is an experience you won't get back home but it's not something you will talk about to your friends and family when you get home.
And now the reason it got 2 stars.
After the floating market they take you to a place called "Chang Puak Camp", which they do not mention in the description. This place is a total tourist trap that tour companies shuttle people to. This camp just uses animals to make money off people wanting to touch them and take a picture. Tigers in small cages forced to take pictures with tourists, elephants lined up to be in a small enclosure for tourists to ride all day, and monkeys dressed up on leashes. We saw a monkey dressed up in a dress, dragged around against it's will on a leash to groups of people, trying to sell photos with the monkey.
If you want to experience animals from southeast Asia, go to an animal sanctuary or rescue. Dont visit a place like this that just sees the money they can make off of the animal. ...Read more
