Not Panoramic

The previously posted reviews rated this high so we reserved the tour. However, despite the description it is NOT for beginners at all. In fact, two attendees could not ride on the tour because of inexperience upon arrival. Albeit, it is for safety, the advertisement is misleading. In addition, most of the driving is in traffic in the city and a small stretch of highway. This was difficult . We stopped Only once formaite seeing at a location that overlooked Florence. The photo used for the tour advertisement is not from the tour. It is a ride in a Vespa through parts of Florence. Be cautious if you have little experience.

This started off being disastrous...

This started off being disastrous. The taxi driver that dropped us off told us to walk up the street and turn left. Well he was wrong. If you arrive where the arch is and the dome then big church is on your left and the leaning tower of Pisa is the next building you are in the right street. Go half way up and about half way on the right you will see a blue T sign. This is where you need to go. It is part of a red brick building which actually just looks like a wall. When we arrived there after walking the neighbourhood it was closed and didn't open until 9.30. When it opened they told us we must wait for the bus. We finally boarded the bus at 10.03am which caused concern as I didn't know how far Florence was. As it turned out Florence is only just over an hour away but it was on a Sunday. We we arrived we waited for Edwardo and Diddiere for a couple of minutes. We were given a small bike to trial. Then the beautiful red Vespas. Then we were off and it was absolutely fantastic. Worth every cent and more. Fabulous day out. I can't speak highly enough of the guides. One rode at the front and one at the back. They were very aware that it's not something that we do all the so took great care with us. It should be on your bucket list. Informative, relaxing and great mix of people.
