During your tour, see both Porto and its neighboring beach towns of Vila Nova de Gaia and Matosinhos. With your ticket valid for 48 hours, you’ll have plenty of time to see all the points of interest you wish to. As you cruise, enjoy 360-degree views and learn about Porto’s most historic attractions from a charming narrator. Enjoy the freedom to hop-off at any stops you’re excited to explore.
While heading along the Porto route, stop in the city center and see one of the city’s oldest and most important Romanesque monuments, the Porto Cathedral. Next, hop off at the Port Wine Museum, located in an 18th century warehouse in Porto. Here, learn about the history of Port wines, its commercialization, and its impact on the economic development of the city.
Shift gears onto the second route and visit Porto’s pristine coastal towns. Tucked in the Parque da Cidad do Porto, see Anémona, a giant modern sculpture resembling a jellyfish. Then experience Matosinhos’ with its bustling seafood market and beautiful beaches.
Upgrade and receive a wine tasting and river cruise.
Take a pleasurable detour from hop-on hop-off (stop 22 on Route 1) and savor Porto’s skyline during a cruise along the historic Douro River. Then, enjoy a tour and tasting at the Calém Port Wine Cellar (stop 23 on Route 1). Delve into the art of winemaking and sip on two delightful local wines.

Waste of money

Waited one full hour for next bus after my first stop, so took bus back to central point and then walked everywhere. Seemed to be plenty of red and blue bus operators, so they are probably a better option if you really want to take a bus.
Porto by bus

There is nothing better then doing a hop on, hop off bus in a new city. We almost always take that first to get the lay of the land and know where we want to get off and explore.
Don’t rely on timings!
, Jun 2019
The two routes are good. The central one is especially useful, though a fit person could possibly walk a lot of it just as quickly as wait for a bus. The big problem is predicting what time the buses run, especially the hourly one. They don’t leave “on the hour, every hour” as you might expect, so it’s pot luck when one comes. Drivers were friendly and commentary was clear. Stops are clearly signed as they are everywhere.

Good except 1 time

Everything was good except the first time, the bus did not come at the location marked. We waited 30 minutes past the time and there were several people waiting along with us as well. Cruise is good. Wine tasting is okay.
Excellent value for money

The bus covered plenty of Porto city and Gaia, across the river. On the 2nd day we chose to ride out to the coast and although the weather was very wet and windy the top deck still provided enough cover. The Calem wine tour was well presented with the timing being just right plus a taste of 2 different port wines. Added to this is a 6 bridge river cruise which lasts about 1 hour, I found the attraction excellent value for money.

Very much enjoyed the tour and loved the choice of two. First day we chose out of town and the beach and the second day we chose the historical tour. As other tourists pointed out it would be helpful if the number of each stop was announced on the bus.

Apart from the weather we very much enjoyed the wine tour(Calem) & the river cruise, we did enjoy the bus tours however.

When I the my voucher in I specifically asked about the times for the boat tour and wine tasting at Calem. They said the boat tour was every 30 minutes and the wind tastings were at any time. When I arrived at Calem...the wine tastings are specifically scheduled by language and I had to wait 1 hour and 45 minutes!!!! Unacceptable that your people at the kiosk do not know this! It ruined my afternoon just waiting.
worth the money

It is a wonderful way to get a bird's eye view of the city and figure out where you want to spend more time exploring on foot. The river cruise was amazing, totally worth the package upgrade. I did not get to do wine tasting, had no time. I was on yellow bus. The first one did not have the audio working for the tour guide in headphones. The second bus was working and the guide is very concise and useful.
