Why Travelers Choose This Tour

See the 3rd tier and secure access to the underground chambers and arena floor.
Your tour starts outside the Colosseum, where you’ll meet your guide, a Roman history enthusiast, and skip the entrance line with your fast-track ticket.
Inside, begin below ground to explore the Colosseum’s tunnels, chambers and pits. This section of the amphitheater is only open to a select number of visitors each day, so enjoy this exclusive chance to see more than most people do. While you walk through the underground passageways, listen to stories about the wild animals who were held down here and the Roman gladiators who prepared for their battles here.
Next, head upward, stopping on the arena floor level. Most visitors are restricted to walk only around the edge, but you have access to walk on the floor itself, standing on the same spot where the battles took place. Not much of the original floor remains, but you can peer down through the gaps to see the underground chambers.
Upon exiting the Colosseum, walk with your guide over to the Roman Forum, once the political heart of the city. Take in the sprawl of ancient ruins, and walk up Palatine Hill, once home to Ancient Rome’s wealthy residents, for a view of Circus Maximus, where chariot races took place. Your tour ends on Via Sacra, the main street of Ancient Rome that links the Colosseum to Capitoline Hill.
Please note: The order of sites visited may be reversed during your tour.

According to me, this tour was great. Our guide was friendly and informative and guided us expertly through the tourist throng. More stories of people rather than buildings would have been nice but overall an excellent experience.

Very good tour, access to arena floor and underground. Extremely busy so suggest early tour! We had Fabrazio as tour guide through City Wonders and he spoke good English and was very knowledgeable. Skip the line was great, group of around 20. Would definitely recommend this tour.

We booked this tour thinking it was going to be great, but it exceeded our expectations. Our tour guide Sev was extremely knowledgeable, friendly, and humorous. He kept our attention the entire time. This is a MUST if you are visiting the Colloseum for the first time.

Both guides were wonderful and very well educated, we are so very glad that we choose this tour. We felt like it was well worth the money. We were able to see what we really wanted to see and we have brought back some very fond memories. Dean and Sherry

Great insight into the Colosseum. Good history and information. The small tour group is more personal. Seeing the underground is fascinating and well worth doing. Great tour guide.

We thoroughly enjoyed our tour guides on this very informative tour! Our guide, Juicy, was so passionate about the history of the ancient Roman ruins and she was very knowledgeable. She introduced the Colesseum to us and then we had an architect join her to give us his perspective on the structure of the Colesseum. It was fascinating to have such an expert share his insights with us. Juicy continued the tour showing us the ruins of the Forum. It is important to take a tour such as this with knowledgeable guides so you know, understand and appreciate the gravity of what lies before you.

This was a great way to see the colosseum the tour guide was very informative and really knew her history. It’s great to also be able to combine the Forum and skip all the queues as they are so close. We would highly recommend this tour.
