Very interesting but can get tiring esp if you have young children

The tour is divided into two parts. The AM part is the Colsseum, Roman Forum and Palatine hill. It lasts about 3 hours. Was worth it. The guide was good. You then have to get to the Vatican on your own and meet your new guide there. This guide was also very good. The lines despite having skip the line passes were very long. My only issue with the second part of the tour was that the company listed as the tour operator handed us over to another company that took us on the tour of the Vatican. I get a little uneasy about such operations where you are handed over from one tour company to another.

Wonderful experience, the very heart of Rome

Vatican Museums guided tour& Navona Square-underground entrance + audioguide | Oct 2019
We had the Vatican Museums and Navona square underground tour with this company. Everything was simply perfect and well organized. Our guide for the Vatican Museum was really passionate and knowledgeable, always kind answering our questions. We decided to buy this two tickets with the Navona Undergrounds to visit something different from what tourists are used to and has been a big surprise for us. We reached the second place and, with the audioguide provided, we really enjoyed the underground visit. I completely suggest this Company! Thank you.

A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum...

Colosseum and Roman Forum: Skip the Line Guided Tour | Sep 2019
There tend to be two types of good reviews. Ones where things go right, and then others when things go wrong. I wish that I could talk about how knowledgeable and funny our tour guide was. Unfortunately I can't do that. Sondheim would have been proud of the farce that we encountered trying to get to the meeting place for the tour (short story), Uber in Rome is not as reliable as many Americans may assume). Once we knew that timing was going to be tight, we called the tour company and were told not to worry, they would contact the tour operator. After the final 2 block sprint down a 1 way street to try to make it to our tour (a few minutes late for the start of the tour at this point) we discovered that they had already left. The folks in the office offered to try to reschedule for us for a different day, which honestly they had no obligation to do. Since that wouldn't work for us, they contacted other tour companies to try to just get us the tickets to skip the line. After about 20 minutes where we got to sit in an air conditioned waiting room, they had a ticket for us to enter, and sent us off with bottles of water. Under the circumstances, they definitely did everything that they could do to ensure that we had the best experience possible.

Vatican Museum: skip the line with audio guide | Aug 2019
Our guide Lucas was amazing and even helped me get a wheelchair for my mom. He was cordial and we all left right on time. He answered all of our questions and gave us good tips on what to focus on first. Highly recommend it!

"Skip the Line" is a joke

Vatican Museum: skip the line with audio guide | Jul 2019
I checked in at the VIPinITALY office that you sent me to, then was taken to a second tour company and told that the guide would arrive "within 5 minutes." That was a blatant lie. The second company did not even conduct tours at that time. So, I had to wait until another 30 people arrived before we were taken to the entrance, where we had to wait in another line for the security check.

Very bad tour operator NO star but saved by a very good Tour Guide Francesco (5 stars for him)

Colosseum and Roman Forum: Skip the Line Guided Tour | Jul 2019
Francesco is one of the best tour guides we met, unfortunately, he was working for an operator that may have over or under booked a tour (VIPINITALY). We arrived as scheduled 1:30PM but got pushed to 3:30PM as the tour operator making deals with their partners to get us in. We requested English but initially got grouped with Spanish until we got matched with Francesco.... bad planning for the operator. The day was saved by a wonderful guide in Francesco.

Colosseum and Roman Forum: Skip the Line Guided Tour | Jul 2019
When we arrived for our tour we were told that it was cancelled due to overcrowding at the venue. Since that time, over two weeks ago I have been trying to get a refund and have been given the run around by several parties. We traveled from the US for this trip and were very disappointed when we were turned away. Someone should have notified us before we made our way to the venue which was not close by. We are not happy with the customer service at all.

Tour Guide Excellent - Experience an absolute shambles

Colosseum and Roman Forum: Skip the Line Guided Tour | Jun 2019
We were emailed the morning of the tour to be told it was going to be earlier than the time we booked. As we were staying the other side of Rome to the Colosseum this mean we had to change our travel arrangments, just made it by the skin of our teeth as the office is on a random street 5 mins from the attraction and no address was given on the booking... we were then told that we couldnt get on that tour and to come back in an hour and 15mins time!! No appology or care at all from the guy on the desk. The only saving Grace of this tour was that the guide him self was Brilliant. An art historian graduate and a native Roman so very knowledgable and enthusiastic! All in all the tour was fantastic but the experience a complete shambles!

It's the Colosseum !

Colosseum Skip-the-Line Tickets | Jun 2019
If you visit Rome, you have to go. Fifteen minutes in the Colosseum, I felt like I had seen enough. I actually enjoyed Palatine Hill more than the Colosseum. Walking the grounds, there is so much to see. There are lots of structures and history. You can walk and relax, and see it all. . . Palatine Hill has lots of hills and lots of steps. Be prepared to walk and climb.

Colosseum and Roman Forum: Skip the Line Guided Tour | Jun 2019
I paid for a colosseum and Roman forum tour. But that is not what I received. At the end of the colosseum tour the guide said it was over and there was no other tour. This is not what I paid for and it was advertised as 2 tours. I am very dissatisfied and will never use this website again.

Great Tour

Private Tour - Colosseum Roman Forum and Palatine Hill | Jun 2019
This was a great tour! The weather was not great with intermitent rain-but it was still incredible to take in the colosseum and the forum. An enormous amount of history and multiple reigns have dominated here and it was amazing to walk in their steps and go back in time to relive and understand this time. I highly recommend this tour!

Completely unprofessional.

Colosseum and Roman Forum: Skip the Line Guided Tour | May 2019
It almost seemed like they threw this together at the last minute. We got to the meeting place & the man told us to wait. He grabbed someone else & we were told to follow him to the Colosseum. Not many words or any greetings, just a hand-off.Once there, another hand-off. Our guide for the colosseum was new and very friendly, but a little shaky with her English. After that portion was over, there seemed to be confusion, & we had to wait for another guide, who was waiting for another group to lump us in with. He informed me that he didn’t even work for this company, they just called him in. We were told we weren’t going in to the Forum, just going to look at it from Paletine Hill, which we did. (See name of tour above) So a brief talk & we were done. No Forum, which was why I took this tour to begin with. The guides were okay, So very disappointed with what seemed like a bait & switch.

Such a disappointment!

Colosseum and Roman Forum: Skip the Line Guided Tour | May 2019
We booked this tour based on several considerations - the timing, the content, size of group, headsets. We were disappointed on all counts. When we first arrived at the office, we were told our entry time had been pushed back by the Colosseum. We were understanding as they had no control. But chaos ensued from there. We were told to come back in 1/2 hour, we did and then waited another 1/2 hour. We were "escorted" to the line-up area by an employee who didn't seem to care to explain what was happening or whether he lost us in the crowd. After another long wait we were introduced to a tour guide and found that our group had at least 20 people in it (not the 15 max promised). We spent most of the next hour in line (skip the line? NO). The guide used this time to introduce us to the Colosseum we were about to see. By the time we got inside, she led us to a spot to talk and then left us after 10 minutes. That was the whole "tour." There was no tour of the Colosseum. She told us that the second part of the tour (Forum) would start in over an hour! At this point our headsets were taken away. So, we could guide ourselves around the Colosseum during that time as she was done. We met our guide for the Forum over an hour and a half later and discovered that groups had been merged and we were now in a group of 50 people! With no headsets it was nearly impossible to hear our guide. What we heard was good but it was very difficult to keep up with him. We felt rushed to and through the Forum. In all, the tour that was supposed to take 3 hours took more than 5 hours but only about an hour of that was guided, most of it was waiting around.
