Why Travelers Choose This Tour
See the Pantheon and Piazza Navona after the Colosseum—a rare combo.
Our tour guide was awesome and her English was excellent. She was very informative and provided a lot of history. This was well worth the price. Our meeting time changed 24 hours before our tour. We were notified and asked to confirm receipt of this notice. Communicating through Viator is easy to do. I highly recommend booking your tours through Viator.
Really enjoyed the tour. The colosseum was packed but once we met our guide and got our headset we were transported to another world. Our guide was great, she was an unlimited source of information throughout the tour. Lot's of walking, but kept everyone together and engaged throughout the entire time. Great way to kick off our trip to Italy
As (bad) luck would have it the day of our tour, which was mostly outside was a miserable 100-degree 90% humidity day in Rome. But having a great guide in Percilla (sp?) helped move things along best as she could, grabbing as much shade as possible at every stop and being very informative about everything we saw. She did a great job showing us pictures from her large notebook to add context. There's about 5 miles of walking, which even in cooler weather I'm sure can be challenging. But highly recommend this tour and hopefully you get better weather than we did :-)
My tour was supposed to depart at 9:45, however, we received a text the morning of the tour mentioning that our tour was now at 10:45 and we would be meeting at Piazza Navona as opposed to the Colosseum. Our tour didn't start until 11:30 as the tour operators were incredibly unorganized. Additionally, our tour was supposed to start at the Colosseum and then cover the Forum, the Pantheon and Piazza Navona, however, the tour ran in reverse order which completely threw off our day. We ended up having to leave the tour early to catch a train due to the late start and wrong order of events. I would not recommend this tour to anyone as the tour operators were deceiving and dishonest leading up to the tour. The content was good and our guide did the best she could under the circumstances, but the tour operator itself is awful.
Our guide was Ricardo Fiore and he did a wonderful job! His knowledge of history made the tour come alive. When a few members of our group were really tired, he even gave us a few minutes for a break - the gelateria near the Pantheon was tremendous. If you want ro know the history behind Rome, Ricardo it's your guide.
Excellent guide very knowledgeable of history and the architecture. She connected with each member of the group during the 3 hours. The three teenagers 15 and 17 (2) were completely engaged. Experience better than expected.
