Visit Culture Plaza and its crown jewel, the magnificent National Theater. Stroll through Spain Park to view the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, which boasts ties to Andrew Carnegie. You’ll also see the National Distillery and the striking metallic building at Morazán Park, constructed atop swamps in the 1800s. Finish your walk at a local artisan market inside the beautiful National Park, where you’ll have the opportunity to purchase handmade souvenirs. You will continue your walk to Paseo de la Luz, an area on the east side of San Jose that’s well known for its gastronomy.
