Sloth Experience and Cultural Towns Half Day Trip from San Jose

This was a good trip but I was a little bit disappointed with the Sloth Sanctuary. The animal rescue centre had numerous types of animals in their care and it was really interesting to hear the stories relating to them, but I think they could provide more facilities to raise money for the sanctuary. No cafe available to get a drink and no gift shop which I would of happily spent a lot of money in to provide support for the sanctuary. This trip included several stops to churches etc and also included a visit to an Ox Cart factory which was amazing. Sounds boring but was so interesting.

Great tour! Highly recommend it. Got to see so many sloths at the rehabilitation center and many other animals. I also really liked the ox cart tour.

Alex was a very well informed and helpful guide. The rescue centre enabled us to see the sloths close up. Fabulous.

An enjoyable short tour if you are in San Jose and don’t want to spend a full day. Alex was very friendly and had a great knowledge of the animals.

it was such a wonderful experience seeing the Rescue Center with its volunteers helping to get the animals back to health and growth. Seeing so many sloths in their natural environment was such a beautiful experience. Our Tourguide Alex was so great and nice. we had great conversations, he explained a lot about the animals and the work the volunteers do. He was awesome, then on the way to the towns and it's amazing sights such as the Metal Church or the Oxcart was very informative and interesting. At last stopping at a huge souvenir shop made us get some awesome souvenirs for family and friends. Our Tourguide Alex was just so helpful and provided outstanding customer service. He even recommended us a great restaurant and instead of dropping us off at our Hotel, he dropped us off at the restaurant after we had asked.. he went out of his way and it was just an amazing day. I absolutely recommend this tour!!!!

Unfortunately the driver got lost twice and didn't know much detail of the places and there was no guide. The stops were great once he found them.

My husband and I were the only ones on the tour; this made it easy to be shown around by the guide. With a larger group of people it would have been very crowded at the animal sanctuary and the oxcart factory. Neither of these places were very large so it did not take long to see everything.

El operador del tour excelente. Puntuales y muy amables. La excursión a Sarchi valió la pena. Nos llevaron a la fábrica donde fabrican las ruedas para las carretas y nos dieron una pequeña explicación. Lo recomiendo muchísimo. Sin embargo, no vale la pena perder el tiempo en el rescate para animales. En realidad no hay ninguna experiencia ni acercamiento con los osos perezoso. No vale la pena ni el tiempo ni el costo.
