One of the best day trips that we have been on. Wonderful scenery absolutely clean air. Alexandro was a very attentive and informative guide and our driver Jeorge was also helpful and considerate. My wife and I both felt that it was thoroughly enjoyable and good value.

Manuel (Manny) and driver Jorge made the tour special. A great way to get a closer view of the Andes and learn about the area. A small group tour - the group was great and we enjoyed a picnic lunch overlooking the beautiful turquoise reservoir. Stopped for great cheese empanadas. Jorge is an amazing driver and inspired confidence on tricky roads with big drop-offs and no guard rails. A wonderful way to spend the day and see more of the countryside especially with limited time.

This tour was awesome. My husband and I booked it last minute, trying to make the most of our last day in Santiago, while getting out of the city. Communication via WhatsApp with the driver, to arrange for pick up, was easy. Our driver Jorge was epic, we were told he was very experienced driving the winding dirt road up near the damn and we always felt safe. Our tour guide Daniela was also the best; her English is excellent and she gave a lot of historical information about Santiago, the area, and the landscape during our two hour drive. We had a yummy picnic at the damn, including wine :) Stopped for an empanada on the way back, as well as ice cream at Casa Chocolate (LOVED)! Really enjoyed talking with Daniela, Jorge, and the others in our small group.

This was an awesome trip! Gabriel picked us up right on time at our hotel in Santiago, He drove us through some awesome scenery as we worked our way up into the Andes mountains and was very considerate to let us know when 'stops' would be made for rest rooms. Once we arrived at the beautiful reservoir, he parked and let us wander around for a while to take pictures of the area. Back at the van, he had a wonderful picnic set up with fruits, crackers, cheese, wine and juices. A 'Picnic in the Andes'! We were never rushed and he made us feel like anything we needed he would take care of. On the way back we stopped for some cheese empanadas which were delicious! My husband and I loved the tour and recommend it to ANYONE who would like a lovely, scenic day out of the city!!

A perfect way to spend your last day in Santiago before a late evening flight

We had a wonderful day-long trip along the Maipo River valley on the western side of the Alps. The scenery, especially the reservoir and the Alps mountain range, was spectacular. Our tour guide, Manny, was lots of fun and very knowledgeable about the geology and history of the region. Our driver, Jorge, was very competent and fun. We were picked up and dropped off at our hotel in Vitacura. This is a perfect day trip for tourists with late evening flights home. We were picked up promptly at 8am and dropped off around 5pm with a 7:30pm transport to the airport. Our hotel, the DoubleTree by Hilton Santiago - Vitacura, was happy to store our luggage for the day. Manny & Jorge made sure that we had plenty of time to explore the spectacular vistas of the reservoir and then served us a lovely picnic of fruits, cheeses and meat, and wine. We had several bathroom stops as well as a stop for empanadas, a chocolate house and a waterfall. We had 13 guests on our tour and the van was comfortable with a good sound system for Manny's commentary.
