Our trip to Chiatura was excellent. Irakli, our tourguide was relaxed, friendly and informative and the places he selected for stops for food were just what we wanted. It felt as if we were on a tour with an old friend. The town is really picturesque in its own way and the other stops, Katskhi pillar and the Mgvimevi monastery are an excellent contrast to the town.We recommend this tour to anyone who likes to see something different.

This tour is one of the more fascinating, adventurous day trips one could take from Tbilisi. The drive is scenic, the monasteries beautiful, and the town of Chiatura is something from an Andrei Tarkovsky film set. I found it riveting and endlessly fascinating. My guide Levan Leiashvili was excellent in every way. I walked away from it knowing that I had made a life-long friend in him. If you are considering taking this tour, do ask for him. He makes the experience something extraordinary.

It’s has definitely been one of a kind experience that allows me to see different sides of Georgia. My guide Maria is very knowledgeable and helpful. Almost feel like travelling with friends. Highly recommended especially for who want a more cultural experience or avoid the beaten path!
