Great trip overall. However Viator never quoted the additional price to enter the Conservation area, which was another 700 ARS.

Magic

Walking among the 15000 penguins is a magical experience, from the moment you step off the zodiac an th3 first curious penguin eyes you and decides to do a waddle in your direction. The guide (Aylen -- this mught not be correctly spelled) was direct and specific in her instructions to give the penguins their personal space. We walked areas on bpth sides of the islands and saw parents feeding their offspring, magellans and gentoos resting, calling out and just hanging out. We even saw one of the pair of penguins who had decided to come to the island this year.

Really worth it! Could improve on organisation

The actual walk with the penguins is a once in a lifetime experience, it’s incredible to walk around the beautiful island and being surrounded by so many of them, and so close!! However in terms of organisation it could be better. We mandatorily had to retrieve the voucher physically in a local agency, which would have been a potential problem if we had arrived later than we did as we stayed just one day in Ushuaia (only for the penguins). Also, at the agency we were told we had to bring our own food, but once arrived at the ranch it was raining and the owners didn’t want to let us eat in either the restaurant or the tea house with our own food (also please note that even if it was not raining, there are no tables outside so you are supposed to sit on the ground...). After some discussions the situation was resolved by the very helpful guide. Overall the experience is really worth it!

Terrible

Hello I bought a tour on January 23 in Ushuaia at your company. Before paying, I called to make sure that I would be on time for the departure of the cruise ship at 20:30. An employee of the company confirmed that I will be on time for the departure. Only after the confirmation by the employee, I paid for my tour with your company. However, when the tour began, the guide said that we would return at 21.00 which was absolutely unacceptable for me. Due to the erroneous information coming from an employee of your company, I lost the opportunity to see penguins, the day was ruined, and when I turned to your employees for support, they told me that this was only my problem and the company was not going to return the money to me. I ask you to investigate the case you and return the amount I paid for the tour with your company.

We were only 20 people on the whole island with thousands of penguins. Lucky to have also seen a King Penguin.

Up Close and Personal With Mothet Nature

Augustin did an excellent job educating the group as we spent the hour learning various aspects of the life of a penguin. Open to questions, he willingly answered all. He moved easily between speaking Spanish and English, not only when on the island but also traveling to/from the location.
