Choose a 10am, 12:30pm, or 3pm snowmobiling tour, then make your way to the base — 14 miles (23 km) west of Vik. On arrival, listen as your guide explains the safety procedures then pull on your insulated overall and helmet. Afterward, hop into your off-road vehicle for the 30-minute journey up to the Mýrdalsjökull glacier — the start of the snowmobiling route.
During your 1-hour snowmobile safari, zoom along winding trails with your guide and gaze out over the snowy landscape. Stop along the way to soak up the views and capture the scenery on camera.
Ride two people per snowmobile — with one driver and one passenger. (If you are traveling alone or in an odd-numbered group, there’s an additional charge payable locally for single riders).
After one hour exploring the snowy trails, return to base to conclude your snowmobile adventure.
