After pickup from your downtown Yangshuo hotel, settle inside your comfortable, air-conditioned vehicle with your cooking instructor-guide and travel to a food market in the city center.
Then, wander through the stands selling all manner of fresh produce, from vegetables, fruit, and spices, to fish, meat and local delicacies. Watch as your instructor-guide chats to the vendors and chooses the best ingredients, and then head for the nearby cooking school.
Don your provided apron and watch as an experienced chef demonstrates four Chinese dishes, such as sweet and sour pork, Yangshuo beer fish (carp cooked with beer), kung pao chicken (stir-fried spicy chicken), and the parceling up of dumpling fillings.
Then, have a go at creating the recipes with hands-on instructions and tips. Ask the chef any questions you wish, and enjoy working alongside your fellow cooks. Recipe instructions will be provided to take away afterwards so you can impress your folks back home with your new-found skills.
With your cooking done, sit down and savor your creations with a cold drink, swapping notes on the cooking techniques and tastes. Then, bid farewell and travel independently back to your Yangshuo hotel, with directions provided if needed.
