Uffizi Galleries (Gallerie degli Uffizi)

Tues–Sun 8:15am–6:50pm
Piazza degli Uffizi, Florence, Tuscany, 50125

The Basics

Due to its immense popularity, the Uffizi Galleries is prone to long lines and extensive wait times—it's best to book skip-the-line admission to maximize your time. The gallery features a number of long, winding art-filled hallways, making it near-impossible to see everything on display, so small-group guided tours and self-guided audio tours are recommended to help you see the top pieces and give some context to the works you’re viewing. A visit is often combined with a stop at the nearby Accademia Gallery, which houses the Statue of David.

Skip the line: Uffizi and Accademia Small Group Hidden Highlights Walking Tour
It was great to skip the lines, and to have an English speaking guide to explain it a little more depth the history and significance of what we were seeing. It was quite orthodox the price, I would recommend it to anyone visiting Florence.

Uffizi + David & Accademia Tour Exclusive
City Florence Tour and our adorable guide Francesca Ciappi were great. The headsets make hearing her very nice. The museums were both very crowded and she kept us engaged by asking questions and pointed out things my art history teacher never taught us. I would chose both again.
Great way to see 2 amazing museums efficiently and with great information!

Skip the line: Uffizi and Accademia Small Group Hidden Highlights Walking Tour
It was great to have skip the line access to both museums, and our guide was knowledgable. 4 hours just proved to be a little long for us, and we left the tour after about 3 hours.

Florence Private Full-Day Tour with Uffizi and Accademia Gallery
A long day, but so informative. I recommend asking for ear pieces, even for a small group. The museums can get very crowded, and the tour guides have to keep their voices down. Our guide brought us to the highlights of the Uffizi Gallery, tracing the development of art from Botticelli to Caravaggio. It helped to have her perspective and instruction, otherwise everything can get overwhelming.
Great -- one thing I wanted to do for some time. Done it.

Seeing Michelangelo's painting very memorable. It shows the link between Leonardo da Vinci and Raffaello.

Fully Guided Tour of Uffizi, Michelangelo’s David and Accademia
Our tour guide Annette was great. Very knowledgable and brought the paintings and sculptures to life with her explanations. The morning tour had 20 people in it which really was getting too big, but the afternoon had fewer people and was much more intimate. Overall just be aware the Uffizi and Academia get VERY busy.?
