Grutas de Cacahuamilpa National Park Tours

Grutas de Cacahuamilpa National Park
Walk deep underground into one of the world’s largest cave systems at Grutas de Cacahuamilpa National Park. Established as a national park in 1936, these spectacular caves in the southern Sierra Madres comprise more than 90 rooms, some with ceilings 230 feet overhead. Walking the trail through the caves reveals fantastic formations at every turn. Visitors can only enter the caves as part of a guided tour, which include tales about the geological and cultural histories of the caves along with high-powered lights to showcase the incredible rock formations. Above ground, there’s also rappelling, rock climbing, ziplines and a botanical garden.
