Ajanta and Ellora Caves

Our tour driver promptly picked us up in Aurungabad and drove us to both Ajanta and Ellora caves. We toured these spectacular world Heritage sites from 7 am to 4 pm, we’ll worth the trip. We booked our Ajanta and Ellora tours from Viator. The arrangements from picking us up from the Airport to the destinations, taking us to our hotel and then to the tours, being prompt the next morning to pick us up again, was fantastic and so well organized. Our driver - Sher Khan…… we cannot say enough about him and his service. He really took it upon himself to ensure we were well taken care of. His driving (in a city of crazy drivers) was all about our safety. He showed us around and ensured we were well informed. SherKhan is someone who I would highly recommend, this individual is all about taking care of his guests - I would not use anyone but this guy…..immaculate and with great customer service mentality. Special mention of our Tour guides - Mr Pitambar (Ajanta caves) and My Ajiyaz (Ellora) so knowledgeable, great English and super nice guys. All three Sher Khan and our guides are well worth the money spent and then some. We will highly recommend Sher Khan for your tours.

we were thrilled to visit this amazing cave complex with the support of a Viator operator Shohib from Aurangabad. our driver Salman is very helpful, punctual and friendly. His opinions were very helpful to manage the trip as this was our first visit to India. He took us a bit around Aurangabad city also it was not on the itinerary. His driving skill on that road through very high traffic due to political rally has to be praised. Both Ajantha and Ellora have magnificent art skills in India it is worth visiting. I highly recommend the trip to the two cave temples. Our guide Ram was wonderful, full of knowledge and passion. One thing I would see improve is the transparency of the company. When we asked to find a money exchange and ATM, the company changed money with us at the rate 1 us dollars to 77.5 rupees, lower than if we did it at money exchange place. The company helped us find a hotel after we got there, which was good, but we found out by chance at checking out, the company charged us 2000 rupees more than the hotel charge.

The places I visited were amaizing, like nothing else I have ever seen In the world. The driver Shoaib was great, explaining me what I needed to know. Also he was really patient to wait for me and to drive me around stores. I enjoyed the conversations I had with Shoaib.

As aussie tourists, we made sure we booked with a 5 star company and we are glad we did. Our young driver Shabaz was friendly but not pushy. he was also happy to alter our schedule and made sure my husband got his daily cappuccino fix. caves were good - we skipped the village though because we’d heard it was more a religious thing and not our cup of tea. We didn’t get guides and we’re glad we didn’t. It’s actually very tiring when you have to listen all day, and for us - we were happy fo do it all at our pace which was much quicker than if we had to wait for a history lesson.
