Meet your local host Usha for a hands-on cooking experience in her kitchen - a charming mix of old world and modern equipment. The dishes you will learn to cook together will depend on what is available that day from Usha's garden and the market. Usha's yard has fruit trees like bananas and papayas and a host of tropical vegetables.
The cooking part of the experience will last for 30-45 minutes and you will be preparing a few local dishes, such as sambar (tentil based vegetable stew), aviyal (mixed vegetables) or olan (curry made with white pumpkin, cow peas and coconut milk).
