Tower of London

Tower Hill, London, England, EC3N 4AB

The Basics

Today, the tower famously displays the Crown Jewels (which include the Imperial State Crown) and holds centuries of history within its walls, drawing travelers from near and far. It remains guarded by members of the Royal Bodyguards, known as Beefeaters. Visitors can admire the Royal Armouries in the White Tower, walk along the battlements, and see where Anne Boleyn was executed by order of Henry VIII. The popular Torture at the Tower exhibit, the Coins and Kings exhibit at the Royal Mint, the Fusilier Museum, and the Line of Kings all shed light on the tower's history.

Early Access Crown Jewels: Complete Tour of Tower of London & Opening Ceremony
I sense the evil side of tower is being played down, almost covered up. “Not very many were tortured at the Tower.“ No visual of where prisoners were held, other than important or wealthy ones, and no room where the racking was done. My last visit I recall seeing all that and was looking forward to saying a prayer in that space for those who suffered. Sorry to see the Tower of London changing history.

VIP Early Access - Opening Ceremony Tower of London & Bridge with Crown Jewels
Amber was a great tour director. She guided her small group to the proper things to go & see on your own at the Tower of London and London Bridge, and gave lots of info and history. It was great to be first in for an exclusive opening guard ceremony, & to see the Crown Jewels without a crowd.

Total London Experience with London Eye, Tower of London, St Paul's
I loved it all. My favourite was The Tower of London and changing of the guards. My only disappointment was that you are unable to take photos at St Paul’s cathedral after 4.15pm (on the dot!) and that time rolls around so quickly. I would definitely recommend this tour. Great for anyone who wants to experience London but is time restrictioned. Thank you for a fantastic day.

Tower of London Private Tour with Blue Badge Guide
We’ll worth seeing the Tower of London, including Crown Jewels, with a knowledgeable tour guide. Denisa, our guide, had an engaging way to tell us the stories of English monarchies over the centuries. Highly recommend!

VIP Tower of London and Crown Jewels Tour with Private Beefeater Meet & Greet
Tour guide was affable and informative and there was no wait for admission. Reviewed the different buildings and history and you did the crown jewels and museum exhibits on your own. Beefeater also gave separate history on the guards. Group was relatively small so it was easy to hear everything.
