Parashka Mountain is one of the highest and most picturesque peaks of the Skolivski Beskydy mountain range. The mountain went into history by dramatic events of the Kyiv Rus period, when descendants of Volodymyr the Great were fighting for the throne. According to the legend, Princess Paraska was killed just here, following the battle between two sons of Volodymyr the Great. This historical turmoil echoes in the name of the mountain. It was also the place of fierce battles during World War II. Today it is a favourite destination for many tourists due to amazing landscapes are seen from the ridge of the mountain.This hike is of moderate complexity with the length of the route appr. 20 km, which in combination with snow will increase the difficulty of the path. Berezhany, the "Heart of Galicia". I will show you the old town and surrounds of Berezhany. Suffice it to look at the Berezhany Castle constructed by Ukrainian voivode Mykola Seniavsky in 1534- 1554, whose gates until the 1930s bore the signature, “To the glory of God and to protect true Christians.” Today this majestic fortification has become a ruin. Also, we have look at the Armenian Church, the ruins of the Big Synagogue, and the Seniavsky Chapel. Incidentally, there are 125 monuments of culture in Berezhany, nine of archeology, and 20 of the monumental arts.
