Every year at the same time, whales cross Panama on the Pacific coast. A rare and wonderful show.Our check starts at 6:15 am in the Flamenco Marina. Our excursion leaves for the Pearl Islands at 7:00 am aboard our mega catamaran, the PanaMar.On board, we welcome you with a delicious complimentary breakfast and, as we head for the Las Perlas archipelago, our adventure begins with the dolphins swimming around our boat as we head for the islands. In an hour, we will be in paradise of whale watching, the Pearl Islands. Our bilingual professional guide will begin to explain everything about the migration of whale watching in Panama.During our adventure, you will see whales break and swim with their babies, dolphins jump and swim with us, an amazing experience.
Northbound, we sail through the Bay of Panama, we will pass under the Bridge of the Americas that joins the east with the west, the Miraflores Locks, the Miraflores Lake, the Pedro Miguel Locks and the Culebra Cut, the most narrow of the Channel where it was found more difficult when excavating in the middle of volcanic rock that conforms the Central Mountain range of the isthmus. Finally, we will arrive at Gatun Lake, which was created by damming the waters of the mighty Chagres River. During the navigation of this vast lake, we will pass in front of the Island of Barro Colorado, home of an impressive biodiversity and of the scientific station of the Smithsonian Institute of Tropical Investigations, natural reserve since 1923.
