"The 2-Day Inca Trail is stunning and totally beautiful. First we got picked up from our hotel and received a lunch bag for the day on the trail. A drive took us to the train station where the Inca Train starts to Machu Picchu. It was a very nice experience seeing the landscape with this train. We stopped at km 104 where our tour guide Mauro waited for us. Special thank you to Mauro because he took great care of us and gave us a great time with his knowledge and insides in nature and history. From there you start the first part of the hike (3h) until lunch. This part is challenging because of the altitude and the amount of stairs until you arrive at a camp for lunch. We had to take a lot of breaks and you definitely have to be in good shape. The views alongside this trail are stunning. You are high up on the mountains. The second part of the hike (2h) is easier and equally beautiful. At the end you arrive at the sungade with beautiful views of Machu Picchu and the valley. At the end we took a bus from Machu Picchu station down to the small down of Machu Picchu Pueblo. There we had dinner included with Mauro and again a great time. Our hotel was also very nice. The next day we woke up early in the morning and took one of the first busses up to Machu Picchu. The views were stunning and Mauros tour was perfect. He gave us a great inside into the life and culture of the Inkas. After that we spend the rest of the day in Machu Picchu Pueblo. It has a lot of bars, restaurants and markets. A train took us back and from there a driver dropped us of at our hotel. It was an unforgettable experience and highly recommended."..."

"Your tour guide makes a huge difference. There are stinging wasps and pointy plants to be mindful of, so you aren't startled on the very narrow, steep steps. The view from Huayna Picchu is incredible, and really gives a sense of how much work and logistical planning the Inca did. I can't recommend it enough."..."
