Enjoy pickup in Anchorage at a comfortable midmorning hour, and drive south with your guide along Seward Highway — a National Scenic Highway — including the Turnagain Arm. Your passing landscapes include natural ice sculptures covered in glacial silt, floating with the tide.
Reach Mt Alyeska, and board an aerial tram that takes you to the top. Among the slopes here that receive an average of 54 feet (16 meters) of snow annually is the famed North Face, one of the world’s longest double-black diamond ski trails. From the snow-covered decks, watch skiers and snowboarders have a blast.
Head back down for lunch at an eatery located in the foothills of the Chugach Mountains.
After lunch, continue to the Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center, a rescue and rehabilitation organization for Alaska’s wild mammals, including elk and bison, grizzly bears, lynx, eagles, and more.
Your tour ends with return transport to Anchorage.
