Your private tour begins in the morning, when you’ll greet your chauffeur and board an air-conditioned vehicle destined for Amman’s most popular attractions. After a brief overview of Amman’s history from your driver, you’ll stop at Amman Citadel, discovered after numerous excavations.
Here, your driver arranges your admission pass at the visitor center and gives you the option to take a guided tour at your own expense. Whether on a tour or exploring independently, you're sure to marvel at the architectural amalgamations of Roman, Byzantine, and Islamic styles, and absorb panoramic vistas of downtown Amman from the citadel’s hilltop perch.
Your next stop is the Roman Amphitheater, a colossal 2nd-century structure that can seat up to 6,000 spectators. Carved into a hillside, the theatre is a visual feast best devoured from the inside.
Following a tour of the theatre, stop to eat in a restaurant or café recommended by your guide (own expense) and then conclude your tour at Winemaker, a sophisticated bar in which you’ll taste a selection of award-winning wines, all available to purchase.
Your tour ends with drop-off at your Amman hotel.
Please note: During Ramadan and on Fridays, the Winemaker is closed and will be substituted for a tour of modern Amman and the Abdali Boulevard.
