Meet your guide at the Salmonberry Tour Office or at your Anchorage hotel prior to a 10 a.m. departure. Head straight to the oldest part of the city at the historical Port of Anchorage and Ship Creek area, where you will learn about Anchorage’s early years as a pioneer tent city.
Then, travel to Earthquake Park to see the site of the second largest earthquake ever recorded worldwide, followed by a visit to the busiest seaplane base in the world at Lake Hood. Watch some of Alaska’s finest bush pilots land one the water and take to the sky.
Finally, continue to your final spot at the Flattop Scenic Overlook in Glen Alps. A short walk to the overlook is rewarded with beautiful views of the city and the snow-capped Chugach Mountains beyond — from Denali (Mt. McKinley) to the Aleutian Islands — equally enjoyed by visitors and locals alike.
Transfer back to your hotel at the end of your tour.
