  • If the trip to Abu Simbel cancelled due to bad weather, you will be refunded with 30USD per person.
  • If the Hot Air Balloon trip cancelled due to bad weather, you will be refunded with 40USD per person.
  • Camera is not allowed on the balloon basket, you can only use your cellphone to take pictures.
  • A child less than 6 years is not allowed for the balloon trip.
  • If you want to have your own room, then you need to book for a single person.

Aswan to Luxor-Abu Simbel & Hot Air Balloon

The trip was simply amazing. The staff on the boat are very friendly and courteous. Food was good and different variety everyday. It was the best way to experience Egypt and see many temples possible short amount of time. Only downside- be prepare to wake up at 4 am daily but it was worth it. Our tour guide Zakaria was awesome and very knowledgeable. Zakaria answered all of our questions and was willing to do extra things to make sure we were enjoying our trip. Few of us on the boat wanted to go to a local Hookah Bar on our own, but Zakaria volunteered to take us so we didn't get lost and we had a great time. I went to Dubai after Egypt and Egypt was the best part of my vacation!!

The boat (Miriam) is amazing, beautiful, spacious, the crew super kind and helpful. Ali was the best! The food was amazing!!! The best we tried in Egypt. We loved the cruise so much that we were sad to leave the boat when it was finished. The massages on the boat are really good and there was a gym. Upper deck is beautiful. Trips were well organized, our only negative feedback is the guide who didn’t speak english well, gave missinformstion about the history and in total didn’t talk a lot on the sites nor in the vehicles. All else was perfect, we are planning to take the cruise again!
Amazing trip down the nile

This trip was amazing! The temples that you see are incredible, its a jam packed trip with early mornings but really worth it. Abu Simbel was a mind blowing highlight for me. Our guide Ahmed was great, he really looked after us and explained some cool facts about the temples but then gave us plenty of time to wander around ourselves to take pictures and explore. I think I enjoyed this more than seeing the Pyramids in Giza (Although this was also great), the boat was nice and the food was better than I had expected to. Highly recommend this cruise

Highly recommend booking! The cruise and food was actually way better than I thought. Jam pack every day adventures. Definitely worth it! No need to put an agenda together. They have it all lined up for you. Especially our guide Rucky! We had such amazing time and learn so much from him. The best group of people! They did it right by putting the best fun active people together in our group. Just want to say how amazing and awesome Rucky is! Thanks again for letting us fall in love with Egypt!

First Nile Cruise

I had a fabulous time on this tour. As probably expected in Egypt the tour schedule kept changing and had to transfer to an another cruise ship after the first night. But it included everything I wanted to do that found it very reasonably priced and worth it! The hot air balloon was spectacular and the group of people in the tour was fantastic that made my cruise so special and thanks to our guide Usama made everything possible! If you are considering this tour make sure to be ready to get up earliest 330am, average 5am and last day in Luxor will be more than 14 hours. Not so much time to relax on cruise but you could visit all the temples incl Abu Simbel. Made a mistake to arrive a night before the tour started so highly recommended to fly in by afternoon on a previous day as my flight from Cairo to Aswan delayed 3 hours...
Fantastic experience

The cruise was excellent, we saw so much in such a limited time, though it did mean very early starts every morning. So we only had a few hours one day to relax. I had read reviews where the boat was given three stars, I don't agree, by Italian standards I would give it four stars. It was very well maintained, clean, the staff were all very pleasant, except for the night receptionist who was downright rude and the men doing the chits for the drinks where a smile and a thank you wouldn't have gone amiss. The food was ,for the most part, good, there was a different selection everyday. Our guide, Rocky, was very pleasant and had interesting stories. I would have liked him to have come into the temples and shown us the interesting features rather than give us an overview of the history then leave us to explore on our own. I was lucky, I also had a very nice group. All in all a fantastic time.

Do not miss this Ancient Egyptian tour!

This definitely was a once in a lifetime opportunity. The temple trips were amazing, and a special thanks to your guide Ahmed who provided insight into all things Ancient Egypt as well as asking any questions the group had. I highly recommend booking this tour, you will have a great time. The ship itself is fine, bear in mind its random selection so may not what you see online- we were on the Monte Carlo which was fine. The food was nice and the rooms and social areas were all clean.

The Nile river cruise was amazing Our guide Mustafa was an EXCELLENT guide and profesional, respectful, and friendly. He made it his job to make this an incredible experience for all of us. He had alot of knowledge and was very kind to all of us and the best of all he made this an AMAZING birthday in Egypt, even brought me a cake. He made this an INCREDIBLE vacation for us and i will come back with my family.

This was, indeed, an exceptional experience. Combining the great Egyptian culture and monumental heritage with a perfect organization. The food on board was very good and the staff was always friendly and willing to help. Last, but certainly not least, a word of appreciation to Islam, our guide, who gave us very detailed and interesting explanations, about the magnificent historical sites we visited, and was, always, very kind and willing to help everybody. Superb experience but for a bad start

The cruise exceeded my expectation in most respects. The service was world class. Our tour Guude Ahmed was exceptional. He was knowledgeable, friendly and hospitable. Thank you Ahmed. The cabin staff were eager to please and the waiter who did all our meals (Another Ahmed) was also just superb. The tours were perfectly timed and duration sufficient for one to soak up the sites but not waste valuable time. The activity on the boat in between the tours was also awesome. If there is one area for improvement, it is on communication. The tour company was due to contact us 24 hours before our cruise to confirm time and place for pick up. They did not. Furthermore, the contact number of the tour operator recorded on the reservation was not operational despite my calling numerous times the day before the trip ( it was a Sunday and should have been operational). After emailing viator , it was only at 8pm (4 hours later) that I received am email saying that I would be picked up at 10am the next day. I left my hotel with my family early to be there promptly at 10am, only to wait 1 hour for the operator who only picked us up at 11am. The experience before the tour started was therefore the only negative - as it was frustrating especially when you are a foreigner and cannot communicate. Lastly, despite my requesting the contact number of the tour operator person who was due to pick us up on numerous occasions, this number was not forthcoming from viator. Lastly, I think that it is advisable that a daily itinerary be sent out daily on the planned events during each day. It can always be updated if there are changes. There was confusion on occasion, which could have been avoided. As mentioned the cruise was brilliant and highly recommended. Were it not for the communication at the start of the tour , I would have rated it a 6 out 5.
Traveling with family along the Nile

Our family trip was amazing with our 2 daughters (11th and 14th). Upon arrival we were welcomed by all the boat crew which made our stay memorable. Food and service were above our expectations. Our tour guide “AHMED” was superb. He accompanied us all the time and had so much knowledge about every single site. Our daughters enjoyed all his teachings as they were so entertained! Ahmed was so kind and kept us busy at all time 😁. This was our first time touring in Egypt and along the Nile! Would I recommend this trip overall??? DEFINITELY 🤩. Oh and the hot balloon ride experience was breathtaking!! 🙌

We enjoy our 4-Days Nile Cruise Aswan, Luxor & Abu Simbel visiting Philae, Abu Simbel, Kum Ombo, Karnak and Luxor Temples from 11 to 14 July 2022 with our very good guide Ahmed which told us interesting history about this places. The Nile Cruise facilities, services wih Amwaj Livingstone are very good and the crew are friendly and helpful and I will recommend it to my family and friends.

Excellent way to experience history!

What a wonderful experience I had on this tour! From the staff on the boat to the tour guide, I felt so accounted for. I have a deep interest in ancient history and I was able to ask questions to my tour guide Mohamed Shakour and receive a response that was deeper than surface level knowledge. He really knows each site in depth and will lead you to specific hieroglyphs at times when there will be less crowd. He does an excellent job to maximize your time, comfort, and experience in a way that connects the history from temple to temple. If you are lucky enough to get this guide, ask him questions and enjoy! He truly has a deep and rich history of the country. Brilliant! Be aware that this tour has moments of demanding itineraries so do communicate with your guides about what you want to do or if you need a rest. The rooms were quite decorative and decently spacious for a cruise. We also got a massage on board and it was wonderful. Also be aware that you have to pay to get into all the sites and should tip for some transportation. The price of the cruise is essentially room and food. All other expenses are on you. Overall, lovely to watch the Nile as you cruise by! Worth it to see how the ancient civilization was utilizing their land.

Nice experice to navigate the Nile and have contact with the Egiptian Culture. Food was good and room was perfect, the staff is kind. If you are thinking the you will rest during the cruise this is not for you, we sarted everyday very early to follow the schedule. Our Guide Wael is super nice and he gave us free time for our photos. We had a problem contacting the agengy to know when and where was the pickup point. Viator solved late but solved for us. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Este tour fue un tour en español, la experiencia es increíble, las actividaddes son buenas, Egipto es un paraiso que nadie se puede perder, la comida rica y el dormitorio excelente, nuestro guia Wael manejaba el español casi que perfecto, fue amable e hizo nuestra visita amena, siempre dispuesto a colaborar para hacer nuestra instancia lo mejor posible.

Amazing experience! Great ship! And the best guide!

I was worried after reading some of the reviews as it seems the ship you get can be random but we needn't have worried. We were on the Blue Shadow which was nice, clean and modern and the room was much better than expected. Our tour guide Mohamed Wafa was the best! He was very knowledgeable on the excursions and went out of his way to look after the group even when it came to small requests. The group loved him! We really enjoyed the experience and would recommend it.
Great Hot Air Baloon ride, but a disaster of a cruise!

The hot air baloon experience was exceptional! It was outstanding and was the highlight of this cruise package. The cabin was barely acceptable but nothing beyond that. The upper deck service staff was very good. Our guide, Mohammed Wafa (sp?) was knowledgeable and good. Now, for the downside - significant opportunities for improvement: (1) Upon boarding, we were refused 2 cabin access cards, thus making it a constant struggle to figure out who has the key and where they are. Painful. I have never experienced this on any of the several cruises that we have been on. (2) I purchased a WiFi package but after the first day or so, it stopped working. When I inquired with the staff person who sold the package, he confirmed that it was temporarily out and that they were trying to fix it. But it never did work after that. When I complained and requested a refund (ignoring the inconvenience), the response was totally unacceptable! He said that he saw me using it on the first day. I told him that this is literally cheating. At final billing, when I asked about the refund, he said it was too late since he already had written up the charges. This is beyond cheating!! (3) The cabin was barely acceptable. The bathroom was such that water would spray on to the floor since there was no screen when having a shower. Worse than that, on the 3rd day of the cruise, my wife could not open the bathroom door from inside. She was lucky that I happened to be in the cabin at that time, that I could open the door from outside when she started banging on the door. We left the bathroom door open after that for the rest of the journey. We didn't bother to report it since the attitude presented by the ship's staff regarding the non-working WiFi suggested their callous customer service attitude. (4) There were no coffee stations where one can help themselves to a cup of coffee. This was unbelievable! I can go on with several other complaints/opportunities by simple comparison with any of the other cruises, at least the ones that we have been on - this was the worst experience ever. I would not recommend this cruise to any of the readers. Viator need to take note and make a concerted effort to correct these problems and improve the quality of the experience.
