Great way to see the top tourist attractions in Egypt with eat well and live well

We took the cruise Sarah II from Aswan to Luxor for 4 days and 3 nights from January 18-22. It was great! The decoration on the ship was beautiful, and the food was delicious. During the meal, a man stood at the door of the dining room and took good care of everything, very considerate and responsible! There is a bald man at the front desk who answers our questions with a smile every time, which makes people feel like a spring breeze! Our tour guide, Mido, was fantastic and very knowledgeable. Everywhere we went, he explained the history of Egypt in detail, and truly realized the greatness of ancient Egypt! We saw many temples, visited Nile river, took a carriage, and took a hot air balloon (own expense). I think this is a great way to see the top tourist attractions in Egypt. I would recommend it to anyone, although the Wi-Fi didn’t work well.

Our tour guide Hidi is a very good tour guide and an honest man. He is knowledgeable and answered all my questions. The part I enjoyed most is that he is so passionate when he did the explanation and even involves us as part of it, which is much easier to remember the

What a disappointment!!!

Using luxury to describe this cruise is like using fine dining to describe McDonald’s! The boat is from the 80s (yes! of the last century!) and it hasn’t been updated ever since. The picture of the boat, the one you see in the description of this cruise, is FAKE!!! No balconies, no nothing, just an ugly old boat. The schedule of the cruise is such that you will be rushed out every morning (4:05am first morning, 5:45am second morning, 8am last morning) to go on tours. This is already not pleasant but it gets much worse when all the other boats (and there are many!) have the same schedule and you find yourself visiting the temples with other MILLION people. The cruise staff was very friendly and the food was fine. But, other than that, i wished I had done the trip from Aswan to Luxor on a camel with a broken leg than on this boat! I definitely wouldn’t recommend this cruise to anyone!!!

Very nice cabins, friendly crew and good food. And, of course, wonderful sights every day! I would recommend it to anyone, although the wifi didn’t work. Minor detail.

Very bad tour guide

The cruise ship was okay with good food and staff at the ship. However the tour guide, Hani (not Hany who coordinates the booking) was Terrible. He did not make any attempts to generate interest and he appeared to be fed up with his job. We had kids in our group and when they asked questions, he simply ignored them. We did other tours including Giza, Alexandria, white desert etc and clearly noticed the difference it makes to the experience if you have a good guide.

Cruise on the Nile

I enjoyed going down the Nile and seeing the many cities along the Nile. I especially enjoyed going through one of the locks on the river.

Booked small tour of up to 8 person but ended up in a bus with more people

Overall it was a good experience as we got to see a lot of places. The room was average, food was ok. However, disappointed as we booked the small tour for up to 8 person but we ended up in a bus with a lot more people :( Felt a bit cheated because the bus rides were not the most comfortable.

Hady the best guide ever

Hady!!!! The best guide ever. He was knowledgeable, funny, caring, and so pleasant to be with during our 4-day nile cruise. My family and I enjoyed every second the food was good, the staff was friendly, the boat was vintage, but still good. This is a great way to see all the top tourist attractions in Egypt and this is an experience within itself. Just be open minded and you will have a great time! If anyone gets Hady as a guide you will be the luckiest people to enjoy Egypt during your stay.
Sailing through the past

While booking this trip we did not know what to expect, but by the end of it we could say with certainty that this trip exceeded our expectations. Hady, our guide was there to help us from the beginning till the very end of our trip. He shared his passion and knowledge of Egypt and the different temples with ease and simplicity. He took time to answer our questions. We were in a group of around 25 persons, each with their own pace and Hady was able to adapt the trip and make us feel as if it was a customised trip. He ensured that we were comfortable, organised the trip in a very orderly fashion. The cruise was a smooth sail with comfortable rooms and good meals and there were some entertainment activities on board. Totally recommend this trip for anyone coming to Egypt and searching for the history of this beautiful country!

Such a great way to see all of the amazing things that Aswan and Luxor have to offer and great value for money. Our tour guide, Russel, was fantastic and went out of his way to make sure we had the best time. The boat was clean and comfortable and the staff were great. The boats tend to arrive at the various stops at the same time so the trips can get very busy.

Mixed feelings of this cruise

The cruise ship was very nice en the food was good (although quite western-oriented), we also had a great guide who explained everything very well. On the other side, the site visits are way too crowed because every cruise ship follows the exact same scheme. We were quite frequently disturbed by little boats that attached themselves to ours and tried to sell stuff. The trip to Abu Simbel was very badly organised: in total the bus ride is almost 9 (!) hours, for a visit of only 50 minutes there.

Thank you very much for the nice comment about the boat Guide and the food. As for Abu Simbel, we must follow the government’s instructions regarding speed. We must follow the instructions. As for the time of the visit, we asked the guide and some customers, and everyone explained that everyone took enough time in the temple. We provided a guide to the group to explain the temple, as the guide is not included in the program to provide a better service Thank you

Great experience where life in egypt and history comes alive with our great guide Abdul!

The best part of our cruise was the care and expertise that we received from our guide Abdul. He was with us on the cruise and then then guided us at all monuments and sites. His expertise of the ancient history was at the highest level. With his background education in archeology and passion for teaching it was a most informative and fun experience. We have learned so much not only about ancient history but also about everyday life in Egypt. The history came alive for us !!! You never know what guide you will get when you book this cruise so we were very lucky to get Abdul. The cruise ship itself is a 3-4star but experience added by Abdul moves it to 5 stars for us. The cruise ship is older and needs updating but for sleeping and eating is perfect, most if the day everyone leaves the ship for excursions so it’s important to have a guide that takes care of his group and makes everyone in the group feel at ease and comfortable when sightseeing and getting around. The staff on the cruise were very friendly and the food had great taste, quality and verity. Drinks are not included in the price. Beds were very comfortable. AC worked great no smell in the cabins. No elevators as this is a small ship. Sun deck with a smaller size pool and plenty sitting to enjoy the view. Again, this was a great experience to sail on the Nile for few days that was only made excellent because we were assigned to Abdul who made this ancient history come alive for us as we sailed the river. Thank you.

Not again, bad experience

This trip was not a pleasure. Our cabin was very shabby and not at all 5 star. I felt very uncomfortable there. We got two single beds although we have been asked about our preference beforehand. The air conditioner lost water so that I tripped with socks into the wet floor. We told the staff who just dried it up with a blanket. The bathroom was also shabby and on the first day there was no warm/ hot water. We did not get information beforehand so that I only realised it standing in it. It was a technical issue, which should not but could happen, but you could inform people. The room urgently needs renovation and the carpet was also dirty. The food was very good, good variety and tasty. Prices for drinks are comparably high. The staff was in general friendly, the friendliest in the restaurant. Reception not so much as their reaction on our issues was not satisfactory (we are fully booked, you have to stick to the room). The first night on the boat was horrible. Firstly, we were close to maybe the engine or a power generator, so that it was very loud, secondly, as boats are next to each other we had a staff room or hallway or anything like this directly next to our window. There were so many loud talks that there was no sleep possible at all. No internet at all! It was available but did not work. We did not feel comfortable. The fridge did also not work. I would never recommend it and not book it again.

Nice cruise and fabulous temples

Very nice cruise to visit all the breathtaking temples. The transfers and visits were very well organised. Our guide (who accompanied us for the4 days) was knowledgeable, kind and did his best to please our group. The boat was a bit old but beds and food were great. Overall great experience

Highly recommend specially with Mostafa

Highly recommend it, Cruise was decent, clean and very friendly staff. Tour leader Mostafa Molattam was very knowledgeable, friendly and accommodating. He saved us alot of time and we got to see more. Food was what you paid for but clean Do not take horse carriage to edfu cause horses are living in poor conditions

Everything was done as scheduled, since the very beginning till the end, the tour guide was an outstanding person and an excellent Egyptologist (Mr Hany) punctuality in all events and cordial. About the vessel, gentle crew, cleaned rooms, very good meals, spacious and comfortable, I definitely recommend!
