After a leisurely drive through the Attica countryside we arrived at Brauron Archaeological Museum where our guide, who had archaeology experience, showed us around the museum. His knowledge about the items and history was astounding and educational. Fascinating museum was re-vamped in 2009 and it is full of finds from the site of the Temple of Artemis, including statues, bowls, reliefs, vases and jewellery. After a thorough look around the museum we ventured to the site of the Temple of Artemis, of only which the foundations remain. Beside the temple is a late Byzantine Chapel dedicated to Agios Georgios. We then travelled on to a nearby bay to take some photos and had lunch in a waterside taverna. Would highly recommend this tour.

We really had a great experience with our tour guide and visiting a family owned winery. The tour was just my husband and I with our guide. After the tour at the Temple of Artemis in Brauron, our guide took us for a private tour and wine tasting at a family winery. The winery has been in their family since the 1600's! We were welcomed with open arms. We had a tour of the grounds and wine cellar under ground, our guide translated for us. Then we sat down at their table in the wine room for food and wine tasting. A few locals stopped by for wine and sat with us. One of the locals sat down and played his guitar and sang. We felt like part of the family! What a fantastic experience!!!
