Marvel at the Buddha's head resting in the tree roots overtaking Wat Mahathat and visit the well-preserved summer palace of King Rama IV with its mixture of Thai, Chinese, and Gothic architecture. All admission fees are included in the price of the tour.

Complete your full-day excursion with a riverboat lunch cruise on the Chao Phraya River back to Bangkok. Tuck into a delicious buffet lunch and enjoy views of temples lining the riverbank, such as Wat Arun, before your tour ends with drop-off at your hotel.

Wat Mahathat

Wat Mahathat, “the temple of the Great Relic” was one of the most important temples in the Ayutthaya Kingdom. Located on the historical island the large monastery features a huge central prang, a very large principal viharn and ubosot and a great number of subsidiary chedis and viharns. The upper part of its once massive central prang has collapsed. Today only the base remains.

Wat Phra Sri Sanphet

Wat Phra Si Sanphet, also known as the "Temple of the Holy, Splendid Omniscient" was the holiest temple in Ayutthaya during the Ayutthaya period and until the city was destroyed by the Burmese in 1767. It was the grandest and most beautiful temple in the capital and it served as a model for Wat Phra Kaew in Bangkok.

Great tour
Wendy_S, Mar 2023
Good tour guide, they pick you up and drop you off, and you get to see the far reaching ruins around Bangkok. The boat ride home had a surprisingly good lunch, too!

Ayutthaya Day Trip
GregoryS, Mar 2023
Early morning pickup at hotel to join tour to Ayutthaya. About an hour bus ride to Ayutthaya from Bangkok. Interesting site. Lots of Buddhas, ruins. Tour guide informative although it was sometimes difficult following his train of thought. Boat ride back to Bangkok with commentary along the way. Excellent buffet lunch on board boat.

I enjoyed the tour. Very informative and organized. The tour agency is very professional. They picked me up at my hotel at 6:30, right on time with the schedule. Food in the river cruise is great. With wide choices of asian menu. I love the energy of our tour guide, Mr Pon. Will definitely reommend this to friends.

A worthy day in Bangkok
Ruwantha_P, Mar 2023
It was a wonderful experience in Bangkok. A big thank you for the guide (English meaning of his name is "First") who was a local and knew every inch of the area. Temples, ruins, history and etc was so fascinating to see. Best part was the lunch at the boat which was Grand and fancy. We felt the boat journey back to Bangkok was bit long but after a heavy lunch sit back and relaxing is not that bad. Go for it.
Cultural experiences on point
Candice_P, Feb 2023
This was such a cultural experience and was so amazing. We had Donna as our guide who did everything in her power to make our experience memorable. She even took photos of everyone in front of certain monuments for memories. She took us to a local ice cream vendor as well as a local market to get souvenirs. The actual tour was amazing, see all the ancient ruins and Ayuttaya was well worth it. The River cruise at the end was an amazing way to end the day.

Excellent value, a great day out
Shannon_T, Feb 2023
Our guide, Mr Paul was not only extremely knowledgeable and witty but also very, very good looking 😉 Very safe and competent bus driver, great info provided around the temples, with plenty of time to explore on your own. The cruise and buffet lunch on the way back was fantastic (the food was amazing). Good value for money, would recommend 👍🏼
Wonderful tour!
Allen_M, Feb 2023
Great tour, fun all the way around and the ruins are amazing. Picked us up and returned us to hotel which was great, and your bus was air conditioned well and comfortable. I am also incredibly grateful to this tour provider as I left my nice camera with all my vacation photos on the hotel shuttle, and they not only tracked it down but arranged for it to be at a certain time and place for me to pick up. Thank you so much, it meant the world to us! 🙏♥️👍

Well paced, historical tour!
Michelle_H, Jan 2023
This was a well organized trip. Our guide “First” was one of the best guides we’ve ever had. It was a historical, well paced experience that ended with a relaxing cruise along the Chao Phraya river and a delicious lunch buffet. Highly recommend.
