Why Travellers Choose This Tour

This tour boasts three different routes and 40-plus stops in summer for maximum coverage of the city.
Simply hop aboard the open-top, double-decker City Sightseeing bus and set off to explore the ancient, medieval and modern sights of beautiful Barcelona.

Sit back into your comfortable seat and enjoy the 360-degree views and informative onboard audio commentary as you weave your way through Barcelona's elegant avenues, pretty squares, medieval lanes and palm-lined waterfronts.

Switch between the three (two during the winter season) different bus routes as you wish to explore different areas and aspects of the city, or stay aboard for the full loop to gain an overview of the city’s sights and landmarks.

When you’re ready, hop off at any of the total of 44 stops and explore the attractions by foot, at your leisure. Perhaps meander around the medieval alleys of the Gothic Quarter; stop off to visit the extraordinary UNESCO-World Heritage-listed La Sagrada Familia church designed by the late, great architect Antoni Gaudi; or soak up the lively atmosphere, shops and street theater along the vibrant Las Ramblas.

Alternatively, hop off to visit some of Barcelona’s cultural hotspots, such as the Picasso Museum, or to take a stroll around Port Olímpic, the picturesque palm-dotted marina crowned by giant copper fish sculpture by Frank Gehry. These are just a sprinkling of the many things you can see and do during your hop-off hop-on tour!

Your City Sightseeing pass gives you unlimited travel on all three routes for your choice of 1 or 2 days. Buses depart from each stop regularly throughout the day. See the Itinerary for a list of stops on each of the routes.

Good Introduction to the City

We always like to take one of these tours whatever city we're in, they're a good way to see the sights and plan what you'd like to visit, well worth it.

Disorganized and Sparse

First of all, Viator gives wrong information for this bus tour. It tells you that you have to redeem your voucher for a ticket, but you don't. You can simply show your code at any bus stop. The bus company itself is very disorganized. They had slow lines at their main office with only one worker taking at least 15 minutes with each customer. Then their maps fail to tell you there are two departure points at the main square depending on which line you are taking. The stops listed on the map are occasionally at the actual stop named, but often they are dropping you off several blocks from the site the drop is named after. The buses only go in one direction on each route (highly inconvenient and inefficient) and buses constantly being pulled out of service in high usage times with no reason given. And several large sections of both lines are in industrial parts of town no where near sites.

Arubans in Barcelona

Very good tour, started a little late. Was too cold to get off the bus or sit upstairs. Good explanation of all monuments. We managed to take 2 routes, the 2nd one that goes to Sagrada Familia, we had a wild driver, driving too fast so you can't take pictures. Overall a very nice tour

We took the tour to get an overview of BARCELONA then revisit places we wanted to see more of. This is usual way of visiting a new city

Enjoyable visit and easy way to get around

A great way to get around and see allot of Barcelona. Guide was not very informative and drove by points of interest so fast you could not take photos which was disappointing. We have done the hop on hop off bus in many other cities, NYC, New Orleans and have always enjoyed it and all the info about the points of interest. Was disappointed in lack of info and the speediness of the drive.

Terrific Way to See the City

We enjoyed the tour which took us by many of the sites in Barcelona and giving a description of each. Our only challenge was hearing the narrator and we would suggest bringing your own good ear phones which may help with that.

Good way to familiarize oneself to Barcelona on first visit

We didn't try this tour until our third day in town, but we wished we had done it from the start. A two-day hop-on/hop-off bus tour for 35 euros each (senior rate) is a good value; there is so much to see in Barcelona, and the bus takes you past most of it so you can note places you'd like to revisit and spend more time. The drivers were amazingly good in tight traffic.

The hop-on hop-off tour is the best way to experience the flavor of the city. Just be sure if you purchase ahead of time that you determine where you can exchange the voucher. Sometimes you have to go to a specific address or sometimes you can hop on at any bus stop.

The bus tour was very easy and very enjoyable. There were 3 different routes which we only took 2, but they were great.
