Why Travellers Choose This Tour

This specialized GOT-themed tour allows fans to explore key filming locations missed by standard city tours.
Start your trip in the morning at Barcelona’s Palau de la Musica, and get excited for the day ahead as you see video clips and photos taken during filming in Girona. Before you depart Barcelona, your guide will also provide an overview of the key Game of Thrones sights you’ll see that day.

Listen to a brief historical introduction to the city of Girona from your guide as you drive to the town. Once you arrive, follow the trail of key characters such as Tyrion, Cersei, Joffrey, Sansa, and Jaime, among others, at the show’s key filming locations. Throughout the day, your guide will share photos at each site, helping you piece together what it takes to film and produce the hit show.

Continue your visit by grabbing a scoop of ice cream from a local vendor, a flavor affectionately named ‘King’s Hand’ in honor of the crown’s most trusted advisor. Finish your exploration of Girona, taking time to wander its medieval alleys, Jewish neighborhood, and historic architecture.

Then, it down for an included lunch in a Mediterranean local restaurant. From there, you'll head out for the last stop in a preserved medieval village before your drive back to Barcelona.

Robert was very helpful from the tour office as i was not able to find a place for our luggage as we disembarked our cruise just before the tour. I was tearful thinking we might not make it in time but Robert and our tour guide Enrique were very accomodating to try and help. This worked out and my family of 2 teens and 9yo loved the tour. The lunch and popsicle treat was an added bonus. Highly recommend!

The tour was awesome, our guide Sergi and the chofer Rafa did an excellent job, the lunch was very good. Girona is a beautiful city, our guide showed us Game of Thrones locations in which we took many pics, I fully recommend this tour.

This was an interesting tour of a beautiful city with a focus on Game of Thrones locations. Even if you are not a GOT fan, you will enjoy this tour for the beauty and history of this magical place. Stephen was our guide and he did an excellent job. We also has a wonderful lunch included and then a visit to some castle ruins. The castle is not worth the stop unless you like climbing hills and rocks after lunch on a very full stomach! I would recommend taking this out of the tour and shortening the day a little bit.

This tour was exceptional thanks to Sergi who was extremely knowledgeable not only regarding Girona and Game of Thrones but other points of interest along the way to Girona. Sergi went above and beyond our expectations. The included lunch was delicious and well catered for. It was a great day!

This was our family's first time using Viator and it was a wonderful experience. We had a family of 5 teenagers and young adults. Some of us have seen 'Game of Thrones', one was still watching the series, and one never saw the show. We all greatly enjoyed the tour equally!
First, we had an excellent tour guide, Sergio! He was knowledgeable, engaging, he would say spoiler alert so my son could cover his ears not to hear something he hadn't seen on the show yet! He was attentive to everyone on the tour, at times, he even talked to us individually to see if he could answer any questions. There was also some free time built in to shop or explore more on our own.
The lunch at the small family run restaurant was fantastic! The staff were very nice, and the food was delicious, from tappas, to the main course, to dessert. Sergio even described the type of food and told us his recipe for Sangria!
After lunch, on the way back to Barcelona, we stopped at a Castle of which were were the only tour group present. The views were wonderful!
I highly recommend this tour especially with Sergio as the guide!

Wonderful small group tour with Stephen who kept us entertained and showed us the lovely city of Girona, along with filming sights from the Game of Thrones. Lunch and the castle visit afterward were also enjoyable. Great day trip from Barcelona.

My daughter and I who are got fans and my hubby who has never seen one show signed up and boy were we disappointed. Our guide Camillo was nice but the bus ride for the majority of the drive to Girona was quiet. We saw three got sites and then had over an hour on our own without any explanation on places to go and see besides a bridge. Then we drove over an hour for lunch. The food was delicious but wasn’t sure why we had to drive so far. Then we went to a castle but no explanation on what it was etc. The ride back was also pretty much silent. So not worth the money we paid for this trip!
We had a foodie tour today and we learned more about Spain, Barcelona, etc on this walk today then we did yesterday. We were so disappointed! I do see that the other five star reviews were with different guides and that may have been part of the problem. Don’t waste your money!
