Begin your tour with pickup from your hotel lobby in Basel in 8 a.m. Make your way to the train station for a 2-hour ride to Interlaken, and then a subsequent 20-minute ride to the small village of Lauterbrunnen. Tour the village to see the Staubbach Falls, one of the most famous waterfalls in Switzerland.
Then, head on the cogwheel railway and continue to Wengen, a small alpine village known for its winter sports and car-free streets. Spend roughly an hour touring the village and taking in views of the surrounding Alps, towering 4,134 feet (1,260 meters) above sea level.
Next, take the cogwheel railway to a transfer station for the Top of Europe ascent, a 40-minute trip. This train stops twice for photos. Upon arriving at Jungfraujoch, 11,333 feet (3,454 meters) above esea level, take a walking tour through the area’s attractions, including views from Sphinx Terraces and a tour of the Ice Caves.
Break for lunch at one of the local restaurants (own expense), and enjoy free time afterward to explore. Make your way back to Basel at the end of the trip, arriving at your hotel around 6 p.m.
