Book your preferred tour option, and meet your guide in central Bath. Then, set off to explore on foot, learning about the UNESCO-listed city and its architecture on route.
Founded by the Romans as a thermal spa and littered with classical treasures, Bath flourished in the 18th century with the development of its honey-stoned, Georgian architecture.
Admire Pulteney Bridge and Gothic Bath Abbey, the coronation site of England’s first king in 973, and then continue to Bath’s showpiece: the Roman Baths.
Pay the entrance fee (depending on option selected) and tour the stunning, column-lined Great Bath and changing rooms, hot pools, and other facilities, all once used for relaxation and socializing by ancient Romans.
See the hot springs, and view the main artifacts in the museum collections, including the famous Minerva’s Head and inscribed stone tablets.
Next, delve into the historical town center to admire its Georgian architecture. See the Pump Rooms and Upper Assembly Rooms, and walk to the world-famous Royal Crescent. Drink in the sumptuous sweep of this 18th-century terrace, and admire the Circus, a circular-shaped terrace formed from curving segments.
After learning about these architectural masterpieces, your tour finishes in the city center.

Our tour guide was Pablo. He was an excellent tour guide. We were a family of 2 adults and 2 kids aged 6 and 7 with 2 other couples included in our group. We were slightly delayed starting the tour because it started at the Roman Baths and they were having an electrical issue so they weren't letting anyone in for a few minutes. Pablo gave us approximately 1 hour inside the Roman Baths even though he could not come in with us. We didn't get to visit the museum because of the electrical issue but with just 1 hour we were doing good to get thru the outside portions anyway. Wish that we would have had time/opportunity to visit the museum portion. Pablo was very knowledgeable regarding the buildings and architecture of Bath. I feel that he took us by more places than what was mentioned on the website so that was very nice of him. By the time we made it back to the abbey it was past our allotted time, but he still took the time to walk thru the abbey with us and point out a few things. Pablo was a great tour guide and I would definitely recommend him.

My wife and I booked this trip so we could see Bath rather than wander around aimlessly. That was a wise decision! Our travel guide Rob was a 19 year old student at Bath Uni. A really nice bloke cockney speak! who was able to dialogue across a wide range of tourist ages very well indeed. He was friendly, attentive and provided an intelligent social dialogue to all of us tourists. He did a great job and we were pleased with the tour.

Ok...things that could be added...probably more history of Bath with some earlier architecture or older city buildings before the main architect other than just John Wood please. Maybe some really old pubs with their internal lath and plaster walls.etc etc...

On balance a good tour with a really good young tour guide! Well done viator and Rob!

best regards

Stuart and Kathy
