Really enjoyed this tour - weather was dry and fine which helps with outdoor tours - the Tour Guide who stood in last minute was really - really excellent - he had a really detailed knowledge of his subject matter. His ability to bring the stories of the lives of some many families to us as a very mixed group of ages etc - showed just how comfortable he was in this domain. He included even the youngest child in his narrative and was able to keep out interest through the hour long tour. He gave anyone interested in history enough information to send them looking for more about Belfast - its citizens and its history. thank you for a well organised - interesting and informative hour - well worth the money and the time - I would recommen this tour to any age group.

Very interesting and informative tour ... our guide, Gillian, was really knowledgeable and friendly ... answering any questions put to her with ease ... I thoroughly enjoyed learning more about the history of the cemetery and would definitely recommend the tour.

Great tour of Cliton House cemetry

Great tour of Clifton house cemetery on sunday 13th sept with Niall as our guide. A hidden gem I never knew existed well worth a visit. Niall provided colourful insight into the history of the graveyard and clifton house which we will now definitely visit on its reopening.

Fascinating place; the history of Belfast recounted in the tomb stones! The guide was great, knowledgeable and funny, making the whole tour interesting. In spite of the rain, it was excellent. Highly recommended.

For such a small space, Clifton Street Cemetery, certainly has its far share of Belfast’s past characters. Our guide explained the history of the Charitable institution next door and was lyrical in his storytelling of the wealthy men and women buried beneath the crumbling head stones and tombs. He also gave a moving insight into the realities of life in early Belfast for the poor. A great way to spend an hour being reminded that even for today we must remember... what they were once, we once were. What they are now, we shall become...

I’ve done this tour twice in the last month and have recommended it to family and friends - it is excellent. Our tours have been guided by Paul and by Mark, who are both knowledgeable, interesting and friendly folk. Highly recommend this trip for a glimpse into Belfast’s colourful history.

Fantastic tour with great guide

This tour was excellent, the guide, Noel was a font of knowledge and information and brought the cemetery (not a grave yard - we now know he difference) alive with his stories of its most memorable residents and tales of grave robbers and body snatchers. We learned about a lesser known part of Belfast and Ireland's history and came away wanting to know more. I look forward to when we can have the tour of Clifton house. Highly recommended.

Very informative tour on the histroy of Belfast. First visited cemetery about 10 years ago, was saddened to see how much it has deteriorated. It would be a shame if Belfast Council allowed the graveyard to deteriorate any further.

Very informative tour, the graveyard is much bigger than I imagined. Lots of important 18th-19th century people are buried here, but there is also a mass grave for the poor. Took about an hour and when coupled with the tour of Clifton house gives a good overview of this period in Belfast’s history
