This private, 9-hour tour of Mt. Pilatus from Bern starts with an early morning pickup from your hotel a little before 8:30a.m. Your guide drives you over to the train station in Bern, where you and your group hop on a train. Ride for about an hour, and get off at the Lucerne stop.
Board a boat, and cruise along Lake Lucerne. Take in stunning views of the Alpine mountains as you make your way to Alpnachstad. Your boat cruise takes about an hour, and after that head to the Alpnachstad railway station. You can grab a quick coffee here if you’d like (own expense). Hop on a railway train for a 45-minute ride up to Mt. Pilatus.
At the top of the mountain, walk through the rock where you can see some hidden military objects on the peak, climb the stairs to the panoramic platform, and enjoy lunch (own expense).
When your time at the top of Mt. Pilatus comes to an end, relax on two gondola rides down the valley. When you reach, Kriens, go on a short walk to the bus station, and jump on a bus back to Lucerne. Travel by train to Bern, and then your guide gives you a lift to your hotel from the train station. Arrive at your hotel around 5:30p.m.
