  • Enjoy a comprehensive experience that combines historic artifacts with cutting-edge technology
  • Explore one of the tall ships and see one of the two remaining tea chests from the Boston Tea Party
This one hour guided tour of the Boston Tea Party Ships and Museum ushers visitors through virtual exhibits, authentically restored tea ships and traditional Boston museum exhibits. The tour provides the opportunity to participate in, explore and learn about the people, events and consequences that led up to the American Revolution — all in the order in which they occurred back in 1773. Get a sense of what life was like in 18th-century Boston.

This floating museum features actors in period dress, interactive exhibits, authentically restored tea ships and a gripping, multi-sensory documentary entitled “Let it Begin Here.” Meet the colonists, explore the ships and even dump tea overboard just as the Sons of Liberty did.

At the Meeting House, hear the story of the night of December 16, 1773, and get ready to dump tea alongside the patriots. There are two authentically restored tea ships — the Eleanor and the Beaver.

Inside the museum is a high-definition, 3D holographic at Griffin’s Wharf that makes visitors feel like they are on a Boston street in 1773. See the Robinson Half Chest, one of only two of the original tea chests that was dumped into the Boston Harbor that night.

This was a good tour. Our guide had us act out throwing the tea overboard and our 9 year old granddaughter that that was great.

A truly amazing experience - prepare to take part in a reenactment of the famous night in 1773 where the tea was thrown overboard! Interactive, insightful and a wonderful journey to help one understand the beginning of the American Revolution.

Had a great experience on an extremely cold day! There were only 3 of us on a day the harbor was actually frozen, but we still got to throw the tea boxes overboard AND all the guides were enthusiastic and put on a GREAT show. It was full of well presented and informative exhibits and even a well produced movie. I even felt pretty patriotic by the end! Great family fun.

A great half-day out in Boston, and an interesting way to learn more about American history and the part Boston played in it.

This was the best part of our 8 day stay in Boston. The actors with time period costumes made everything so real and memorable.

I've taken a bunch of touristy trips through the Boston area but I have to say that this was one of my favorites. So, so interesting to stand on the spot where the Boston Tea Party took place and learn about all that was going on at the time. It really does bring back all of those patriotic feelings. Love this country!

The interaction we had with the characters dressed in period clothing was so much fun. We each received a description of who we were back then and some of us even got lines. Sampling the teas int he tea room was just what the doctor ordered on a rainy day, plus the food was amazing. Highly recommended
