After pickup from your hotel, head to your whitewater rafting adventure on the Mae Taeng River. After you receive safety gear and a briefing from your river guides, prepare to get wet on an approximate 40-minute ride. Then, relax aboard a traditional bamboo raft as you float down a calm stretch of the river.
After changing into dry clothes, you’re driven to the Mae Sa Valley for your zipline tour through the forest canopy. Fuel up with Thai dishes at a lunch buffet before you’re fitted with a safety harness and given an orientation. Follow your guide to the first platform where you’re attached to a safety line before you take off through the treetops. The 16-zipline course includes a nature walk between sections of the park.
Continue on to a local village, where your guide describes some of northern Thailand’s hill tribe cultures, including the Long-neck Karen, Lahu, Hmong and Lisu peoples.
Finish up the day at the Elephant Poo Poo Paper Park, an outdoor museum that explains the process of converting elephant poop fibers to paper products. Learn more about the eco-friendly space from your guide, as well as the plight of the Asian elephant.
Afterward, you’ll return to Chiang Mai with drop-off at your hotel.
