Our guide was smart and fast. She explained a lot of the history of Kopenhagen and Denmark - with emphasis on Christian "the builder". She had her own style and would not just fulfill clichés. There were a lot of native speakers, but I think with someone not so firm in English she would have been able to adjust. I genereally think that exploring a city by bike is the best way and in that combination with a small group and a very good guide I was not disappointed at all.
A great way to see the city. But beware, Copenhagers are experienced cyclists. Don't get in their way in the cycle lanes! Not too keen on riding fixed wheel bike. Guide was knowledgeable & nice small group. Plenty of time to stop at attractions.
My friend and I enjoyed this bike tour as a way to see different parts of the city. Our guide Martin was FULL of knowledge about the history of Copenhagen and the country and could answer any question! The bikes were comfortable and easy to use, and we didn't cycle very far before coming upon a stop, when we would leave the bikes and walk around a bit. Not difficult at all, and fairly easy use of the bike lanes. Only complaint was that we went right by the Little Mermaid statue and didn't stop at all- would be nice if a 5 minute stop could be built in for a quick picture.
Our group of five was able to book the tour last minute and I was happy we did. Our guide was pleasant, the weather was nice, and the tour was informative. We took a leisurely pace and enjoyed seeing the sites listed on the itinerary. Our guide had a passion for Copenhagen and Denmark's history. The city feels safer than most too because of the bike lanes and respect for cyclists. I recommend the tour, weather permitting.
Copenhagen is very bicycle friendly and getting to see the city with a local guide is much better than exploring it on your own. Our guide Migle was knowledgeable and very attentive to our needs. She was always there looking after us, providing us with a great overview of Copenhagen - sights & its history, answering our questions and giving us recommendations.
