Choose your preferred tour option on booking. Then, begin your 4-hour snowshoe experience with a Cortina d’Ampezzo hotel pickup and journey to the start point.
On route, hear fun facts from your guide about the history of snowshoeing, from its early beginnings to today. Hear how early snowshoes featured wood frames and leather thongs, and how today’s versions are made from hi-tech, tearproof materials and titanium alloys.
On arrival at the base, put on your snowshoes, sometimes known as 'snow rackets,' and arm yourself with your Nordic walking poles. Then, with pointers from your instructor-guide, step out onto the snow for a practice run.
Once you’re ready, set out on your chosen trek. The easy route crosses fairly level ground, the medium trek more challenging terrain, and the hard trek rugged landscapes with steeper ascents and descents.
Follow your guide and admire the scenery as you trace winding trails through pine forests and plains, all with only the sound of crunching snow for company. Along the way, relish the feeling of walking easily over the snow, watch for wildlife, and stop to capture photos of the idyllic surroundings.
When the time comes, return to base and finish your tour with a hotel drop-off.
