Sacred valley tour from Cusco
, Mar 2020
We really enjoyed our tour. The driver was great and the guide was very knowledgeable about the areas and other questions we asked. The pickup was on time. Did not return us to our hotel at the end of the day.
My boyfriend and I had a wonderful time on this tour. Our guide, Dayana, was knowledgable and very friendly. I was a little nervous prior to the tour because I had trouble contacting the tour group by email, but they picked us up from the hotel as planned and everything went smoothly. Most people on the tour spoke Spanish, but Dayana did a wonderful job giving all the information in both Spanish and English. Highly recommend this tour as a way to see the highlights of the Sacred Valley.
This is a great tour to take to acclimate to the altitude and it provides a great overview of the area. The drove is long but beautiful and the bus stops in several towns to give you a chance to walk around. The lunch provided is amazing and set in a beautiful garden setting. The steps of the Inca temple in Ollantaytambo are very steep but provide a great warm up for visiting other attractions in the area. If you plan to take the train to Aquas Calientes (MachuPicchu), it leaves from this town so stay the night in Ollantaytambo instead of driving back and forth to Cusco! However, if you chose to go back to Cusco, one of the final stops is in a small village where the local women demonstrate how they color the alpaca wool! Very interesting.
